Where is the purge solanoid on chevy tahoe

Depends on the year, if its a 2002 or newer, it is located on the intake manifold. dead center, if you are fighting an evap code, the most common failure is the purge cannister vent valve, located underneth the vehicle, there is an updated kit.

How do i fix code p1143 on 97 mustang

We are assumin gthat you are talking about DTC P1443 - Evaporative Emission Control System - Vacuum System - Purge Control Solenoid or Purge Control Valve fault.

Best guess without pinpoint testing would be the purge flow sensor. This is the most common failure for this code but can be caused by anything that would limit flow across the sensor when flow is commanded by the PCM restricted cannister, stuck or plugged cannister vent solenoid,etc....

On the base model it is located in the purge line between the carbon cannister and the purge solenoid. See pic below for base model diagram(click HERE for zoom)...

Evap system vapor pressure I keep getting this when the check engine light comes on does any body have any suggetion? 2000 Chevy Blazer 4.3L vortec 4x4

Start with the simple and replace the gas cap, and see if the check engine light goes out after a day or so. Post me back the DTC codes just to make sure it's not the EVAP purge valve on the intake manifold by the ignition coil.
Thank you for using fixya and good luck

My 1997 grand prix 3.8 just put a new one in and had to switch some parts off and one of the vacuum sensors behind the plenum on passenger side in just slides on to a bracket and a connector hooks up to it...

The sensor your asking about should have a red electrical connector pligged into it. 2 vac. lines are also going too it. One vac. line goes to the manifold vac. port on the plenum. The other goes down underneath the car. This solinoid is called EVAP Purge Solinoid. You should be able too purchase it at your local parts house. If not go to a GM dealer with the Vin of your car and they will order it. Hope I helped you.

P0441 code means what ?

Evaporative Emission Control System Incorrect Purge Flow
The "EVAP purge flow" faults are issues between the carbon cannister and the intake. The EVAP leak detection generally concerns the fuel tank to carbon cannister plumbing.
A little background. The EVAP or evaporative emission system is a control system to keep vapors from evaporation in the fuel tank from getting into the atmosphere. The fuel tank is not vented, but rather the vapors are piped to the carbon cannister (usually located behind the pass. side front wheel) where the charcoal element absorbs the vapor. This is actually a vapor "storage" device. Under certain engine operating conditions, the ECU activates the Cannister Purge Valve (N80) which opens and allows the engine vacuum to **** the fuel vapors back out of the carbon cannister. This purges the vapor, allowing the cannister to absorb more vapor. This evap system has been on vehicles since the '70s.
As part of the OBDII standard effective for 1996 cars and newer, it was mandated that leaks in the systems must be detected and reported as a fault which will set the Check Engine Light (CEL). To detect leaks, the system is pressurized by a pump so that leaks can be detected by a lack of appropriate pressure in the system. If there is a leak, such as a cracked vent hose, loose (or leaky) gas cap, poorly installed or defective O-rings on the fuel level senders on the fuel tank, etc. a code will be set. On the cannister to intake side, leaks are detected by deviations in the idle control system. If you have leaks in the lines from the carbon cannister to the intake, intake leaks, a defective purge valve, etc you will often get purge flow faults.
My first recommendation is to closely inspect all the small vacuum lines connected to the intake manifold. The corrugated plastic lines are often the culprits, as well as the fabricate covered vacuum lines. Also consider replacing the gas cap.

2000 blazer runs rough after gas tank was overfilled

there is a vapour purge line from the tank to a charcoal cannister. The line& cannister has been contaminated with liquid gas. When the engine attempts a normal purge from cannister it gets loaded with raw gas, causing rough running and cherck engine light. Replace cannister. Never over fill gas tank, especially on hot sunny days

Location of the evaporative cannister solenoid? 2003 saturn vue

Depends if the engine is 3.0 or a 2.2?
3.0 purge is on the top, back side of the intake. Black, cylinder. Looks the same on a 2.2, but is located next to the air filter.
