SOURCE: Lower Control Arm Bushing replacement

Hi,
I just did this job on my 98 regal, and I own the service manuals also. The lower control arm bushing that usually goes, is the front one. The rear one doesn't usually go, it is horizontally mounted. The front one for some reason is vertical. The control arm must be removed, and put in a vise. The front bushings outer metal sleeve, must be driven out with a chisel. It comes out easily. The new bushing can be tapped in with a hammer. Hope this helps!

2013 Toyota Hilux sr5, turning left on a corner during driving the rear right side wheel feels like I have a flat tyre then checking the tyre it is not flat. Feels like a slight roll

Check the suspension on that side. It could be a damaged spring or a blown shock absorber. Get the suspension linkages checked as well. There might be a loose or worn bush or mount.

Alignment camber

yes . fitting new bushes and ball joints to the upper control arms would fix the problem. However do not forget that toe out will cause the same tyre pattern on the treads.; If you have hit something on the road and bent the tie rods you will get the same effect. Have the front suspension properly checked out and fixed then have a wheel alignment done.

Front stabilizer arm has come loose on drivers side could bolt head be worn off? does bolt screw uup from bottom through stabilizer arm?

The stabalizer bar is connected to the lower control arm with a stabilizer link. It sounds like the link has gone bad from your description. You can purchase a new link kit from your local parts store. You will assemble the new link starting at the control arm and working your way to the stabilizer bar with the threaded end of the bolt going through the opening on the bar. Good luck and thank you for using fixya.com!

What r problems to be on the look out for on a 1999 chevy malibu with the 3100 v6 in it and there is a rattle when i hit bumps or rough road the struts are fine

Broken stabalizer links, broken stabilizer bar, and worn out stabilizer bar bushings are fairly common. As well as the rear bushings on the front lower control arms. A quick inspection of the front end and you should be able to tell if the links are bad, bar is broken, or the lower control arm bushings are separated. If the rear bushings on the front lower control arms are seperated the lower control arm will look like it is resting on the subframe.

Have a 1996 jeep grand cherokee zg model

The Jeep has steering idlers (short 7" arms) that eliminate wandering. Sounds like they are worn but FIRSTLY check that you have 4 identical tyre pressures as just one tyre front or back being low will give you the wandering sensation in a 4x4

Hilux surf lower wishbone bushes need replacing .is it a hard job

Hi,
If you are experiencing grinding noises when turning, it is usually the top strut bearings above the springs that transmits noise inside.
These get the worst of salt spray - so often turn to dust. You will need to drop the suspension to check this area out.
It could be that this ball joint is suspect too, but you can only tell with the pressure off it.
Also check other rubber bushes when the suspension is off, as wear on an inner one may not normally be noticed. Uneaven tyre wear is usually an alignment problem - so have the tracking checked by a garage with Laser equipment.
