I have a ford taurus 2000 my engine blew up i replaced the 2000 engine with a 3.0 vulcan what else must i modify so the car will start

It sounds to me like you have a freeze plug that is leaking badly.

This can be an intensive fix but can be done with a set of good tools along with some air power.

Your Secondary air pump is on the fritz. It is located under the car on the subframe that your engine mounts to. What you need to do is to jack the car up & place the front on jack stands. You need to use a floor jack and support the front of the subframe and remove the plastic trim around the bumper area. Loosen the two main bolts that hold the front subframe to the main frame area. Lower the front subframe till you can see a black device located on top of the subframe, towards the front, and basically under the driverside headlight area is wear to look. There is a relay underneath the pump that can rust out easily due to the proximity to the weather. I would replace the relay first and then if needed, replace the pump.

Are you getting any codes from the Check Engine Light? This sounds like it could have something to do with a sensor. Check your air filter and make sure it's clean. The tach on my 1999 doesn't really work, but it hasn't coincided with other driveability problems. The engine doesn't change in it's RPM's, the tachometer just stops working. Have your charging system checked. The shaking might be coming from bad fuel pump operation, clogged fuel filter, or dirty fuel injectors. Try putting an additive into your gastank to clean the injectors (a bottle of Seafoam is great for this). Try calling your local Autozone and see if they do free trouble code scanning. This might help lead you in a better direction.
