Toyota celica dash board red light light comes on looks like a pan with steam symbls coming outt steaming pan is it the breaks or catalatic converter heating up

check the air pressure in your tires -- that is what the warning light is for..

im not to sure about what the muffler looking thing is.. but i would suggest doing a battery hydrometer test on your battery to make sure the cells are all good.. if one is lower then the others the battery is garbage... hopefully it is servicable battery so you can check it.. Also thinking alternator possibly...

Your heater core is leaking and needs replacement.

Warm up engine until you see the temp indicator come up off the C mark about 1/8 inch. This should take about 5-8 minutes. Shut off engine and check transmission fluid level. Always check level with engine warmed up. After adding fluid, run it again for 5 minutes to warm up the fluid you just put in, and check it again. Do not over fill. Also examine color of your fluid. It should be red. If it is brown, or reddish brown, it's burnt. Drain fluid, remove pan, clean off magnet inside of pan. clean out sludge from pan. replace filter and gasket.replace pan, refill fuid, warm up and check level.

Typically when there is steam coming from the hood there is a pin hole in the radiator or hose. Most of the time when I see this problem there was a small chip in the radiator from a stone. It would allow steam to push out of the radiator but it was small enough to not allow any fluid to drip out. Hope this helps!

mine shows that when my lights are on at night

check in the trunk there should be a twist and pull plug, possibly covered by carpet and or paneling.

That light indicates that the "catalytic convertor" has over heated!!!!, however at a guess i rekon the wire or wires have come off the sensor causing the light to come on.

check alternator out put it should be 13.5 to 14.5.

your radidator hose on the left side has a hole in it and when it gets warm it leaks out. i would replace the hose.
