I recently changed the batery in our 2002 Hyundai Elantra. After completing the reconnect and starting the car, the radio, door locks and clock no longer work. I checked all the fuses and relays and they are all fine. Any Ideas?
Do to the Radio security settings, you have to take the car to the dealership and have them reset the BCM (Body Control Module). What happens when you disconnect the battery for any length of time, the radio security chip locks the radio circut--which controls the radio, the clock, and your remote door locks (and the all in one lock switch at the drivers door.
The dealer will usually charge about 1 hours work... if they are complete jerks. If not, they send a tech out with the BCM scanner and you are up and running in about 10 minutes--depending on how long you have to wait for the tech.
