There should be power only on one wire, the other completes the circuit. If you have the harness disconnected and power on both terminals, check wiring to see if it is damaged or other wires have been spliced together.https://www.google.com/search?q=Need+a+f...

A friend grounded the power wire to my ignition on my 96 yzf600r and now it wont start I replaced the fuse and the lights come on but wont turn over please help

Check every switch, solinoid, and wires from the ignition connector to the starter, with a volt meter, follow the 12 volts from the start button to the starter to the battery.
On a wild guess, the starter solinoid doesn't have 12 volts coming out of it when it is engauged.

Best of luck!

Need wiring diagram for 96 honda accord power windows

If this is any help you need to check the voltage with your meter between the two wire, do not put one lead of your meter to the plug and then the other to a ground, that's not how it works. Again you need to put one lead of you meter to on side of the plug and the other lead in the other, now try you switch up and down you should get at least a 12 volt reading on up and down, they usually have a really that switch the 2 wire so depending on weather you are trying to go up or down determines witch wire has the 12 volts and witch wire is the ground at that time, so if you read between the two wire you should get 12 volts if you don't then ether you switch is bad or there is a bad relay. Or you may have a bad ground, it look like you checked and found that there is 12 volts at the plug you have lost the ground side with in that Circuit So That this is so long I am a talker I hope this helps.

My horn on my 2000 Volkswagen jetta vr6 stopped working and i checked all the fuses and they all good. so i need to find out whats the problem.

Try to locate the horn assembly. When you do, disconnect the wires from the horn and connect them to a volt meter. Make sure that the contacts are free of corrosion. Have a person activate the horn while you check to see if there is a 12 volt supply at the meter. If there is power, clean the contacts on the horn and reconnect the wires to their respective locations. Try the horn again. If the horn does not work, replace the horn assembly. Hope this helps.

I have a 93 jetta with the 2.0l engine. Engine heats up when at idle with the a/c on. Auxiliary cooling fan is not working at all. Where is a good place to buy the auxiliary fan? Or is there anything else...

Check the fuse to the radiator fan and the relay's. Also check the wire harness and connections to the electric fan. Most of the time it's going to be a bad relay or corroded wire harness which is cheaper then the fan unit it self. Recap: check the fuses and relay and also check the wire harness at the fan to make sure there is 12 Volts to the power wire to the fans. Easy way to do this runt he engine and turn the A/C on hi and check radiator fan wire harness for 12 volts. If there is no power then work your way back to the relay, change the relay if the fuse is good. Good luck and keep me posted, be glad to help
