The flasher is located on the BACK/REVERSE SIDE of the fuse panel (sides of console), you must remove both panels and fuse centers to access it. It is quite a job. it is a module not the little can like older cars.
The cylinders from the passenger side to drivers side are
1-2-3-4
The coils from passenger to drivers side are
4-1-2-3
Match up the coil number to the cylinder number and you should be running in no time.
i dont think the ion was made in 2000, they started making them in 2003, heres a diagram of a 2003 ion fuse box and the wiper fuse location.hope this helps,
Sounds like the switch in the steering wheel is stuck if the horn won't stop sounding. They get rusty and stick. Sometimes you can take apart and sand them.
reset the trans adaptives in the computer,,,it is a learning computer and has developed "bad habits"from the last valve body...its still trying to correct issues it tried to compensate from the last valve body. It takes a scanner that has capabilities to perform this step in the TC side of the PCM
