Then while driving all of a sudden the temperature gauge will register and the cold air begins to blow again. Now in addition to this, the radio works sometimes and then sometimes the volume is so low I can barely hear anything. This week at night when I dimmed my lights meeting an oncoming car, instead of the low beam.....the lights went off entirely while meeting the oncoming vehicle. Also, in addition to this my Trailblazer seems to be having a transmission issue, it is like I am not getting any power. My trailblazer would barely pull the little hill up my driveway. Sometimes the AC works sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes my radio works and sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes I have High and low beam lights and sometimes I don't. Now it will barely pull the smallest hills and acts like it doesn't want to go when I accelerate, PLEASE HELP what could be wrong....My stepdad is a locksmith and said he thought this vehicle had been repossessed at some point while he was examining the steering column. I have had the ignition switch changed out 3 times...Any ideas? Can someone give me some advice....THANK YOU
Hi Christy.
It sounds like your BCM, (Body Control Module) is failing, or your Connector/Connectors to your BCM could be at fault. They could be corroded, Damaged, burned, loose, and/or could possibly have bad wires on or going to the connectors. I would take it to a mechanic that you trust and have them check it for you. Do you have a check engine light on? Hope this helps.

You need to replace the temperature sensor, it is located under the hood, on the radiator support at the top near center.

It sounds like your A/C condenser is freezing up. Possibly from having too much or too little Freon in the system. Is the compressor clutch engaging, it should engage. If not the clutch is problem.-------
Other possibility can be moisture in the system and its freezing/thawing in your expansion tube blocking the orifice .----
There is a pressure switch that would not allow the compressor clutch to engage until there is a certain pressure in the lines.--------- The refrigerant level is low in the Ac compressor. The refrigerant needs to be charged.------ If the refrigerant level is insufficient the compressor will not engage. If it is very low the compressor will cycle on and off. ---------Get the Ac fan ans compressor clutch relays checked in the engine compartment under hood.If the relays are checked ok, so try this ,jump the compressor relay by a hot wire and then see the clutch should engage.---- ------------
There is low pressure switch on the compressor.Jump the low pressure switch by a hot wire and see.If the clutch engages, if not then problem with the clutch.------- It has to be replaced.-------- This will help.Thanks.Helpmech.

It sounds like your brake powerbooster is going out. If it has a vacuum leak or a seal that is bad it will loose the boost part of the brakes and basically comes to manual braking. It sounds as if the seal behind the diaphram, the side closest to the driver is bad allowing the vacuum from the engine to basically put the brakes on. Good luck and let me know.
Chevy makes a intermittent circuit breaker into the switch to indicate to the driver that there is a short in the system. The likely culprit is the switch itself. High beams switch via the stalk switch that is why you have no problem with the high beams. You will probably have to replace the switch, but before you do check head light plugs and wiring harness for rust or possible shorting on a metal car parts or chaffing. Especially if you live in an area with very harsh winters .
