04 Dodge Stratus. Hesitates while driving down road. Dies at idle sometimes and other times will rev itself as if I am pushing gas. Getting p0158 and p0108. Could this be a vacuum leak?

Replace the o2 sensor.

Could be the Idle Air Control on the throttle body. A simple, low cost fix. Most auto stores carry the part.

Try to get it running a bit to warm up the exhaust. Take a point and shoot thermometer and take the temp of the cat. If temps exceed 400 degrees I would start to suspect a plugged cat.

my monterosport 2001 runs great till you come to a stop sign the rpms drop and it dies start it back up revs itself and rpms drop and it dies. we can start it up rev it and it clearsup and idles but later on when you come to a stop it dies again we have cleaned the egr valave and still same thing could the tps be the problem or what?

check for a bad/loose ground wire in the battery or where it connects to the engine or chassis

I would first have the computer scanned for any codes. codes will help alot in finding the problem, you may have a bad vacuum leak or bad idle air control valve, so start with the codes, autozone parts store will scan your computer for free, get the codes and if you need more help give me the codes and i'l point you down the right path. hope this is helpful.

High idle only, not rev.

Change the fuel filter. An put some injecter cleaner in it. With some good gas.Then hit thr highway an blow it out.Not to fast. lol

Maybe the spark plug wires? Spark plugs?
