How do I hardwire a range rover with aftermarket stereo

You really need the OEM service manual, and even with that one, the company may have a separate publication covering the various electronic wiring systems. You could also try a number of aftermarket repair manuals which are available on line (Google them) as well as Range Rover enthusiast sites. Using multichannel Logic 7 with OEM car wiring can often be a problem with older vehicles because they may have incompatible radio/control equipment - I don't know if a 2005 Range Rover falls into this category. Have you attempted to find a conversion wiring connector kit?

There may be a problem with the function switch.

depending on it you got a wire harness or hardwired it, you may have crossed wires or have some grounded out, otherwise the stock stereo may have an anti theft on it causing the new one not to work, there should be a diagram for the wires if you hardwired it on the top of your head unit on the metal, otherwise if you purchased it new it may be defective, or if you bought it from somebody there is always the possibility of "it worked fine when I took it out", hope this helped

You need to go to Rover dealer, provide your VIN# and they'll get it for you. Slot of times they'll enter it for you. TIP: when you get code, write it down in glovebox or center console box w/a sharpie

You need to call your local Land Rover Dealer and give them your VIN# and they will get you the code. If you have your owners manual, there's a separate booklet re: Entertainment systems that includes the code. TIP: once you get the code, write it down on inside lid of glove box

in most cars if your remove the battery for 15 minutes the car will reset, stereo aswell, before you do this i suggest checking if you have the stereo pin code as most cars have a pin code and when you reset it you will need the code, if you dont have it check your owners manual, if you do not have that bring details to your closest dealer, chassis number etc they will have it on their system.

check the fuse first ,look up cigarette lighter fuses first i bet that is blown ,cos that fuse is part of cigertte lighter and ur stereo aas well also check ur heater fuses as well
