It is probably the flash of your honda civic remote have something wrong..

The problem is you need to use OE ( original equipment )
Honda made their cars so that you need to buy from them not a wrecker...The ignition feeds to the computer, So using a screw driver will make life worse...The ignition cylinder is similer to what"s in your front door...

sounds to me like its a bad ground. check the negative battery cable comming off the battery where it bolts to the frame. take it off and sand it and the frame down a little bit with sandpaper then bolt it back on and try that. its hard to tell what it could be with out seeing it, but sounds like its a ground problem to me

You need to take your car to a chevy dealer because they have the procedure for that, if tou call they wont help you by phone, they charge afee for that.

i think your car is not recognising your key.Sometimes the battery runs out and need replacing and if you are not lucky then you may need to contact a dealer to have the key reprogrammed..this will cost you..

If it is the regular car battery that starts the engine you can put anything in. But if it is the Hybrid battery you are stuck going to the dealer.

Sounds like you may need to hit the dealership on that issue. Call them and talk to parts and let them know what you have done already.

you will need to reset remotes( all of them) see if book tells you how this is done if not look under replacement remotes they know how to reprogram them I think Hope this helps

Do you have multiple keyless entries for this car? If so does the other one still work, perhaps it just needs to be reprogrammed. Take it to your nearest Honda dealer and they should be able to get it working again. If it is constantly locking and unlocking, the computer could be getting a signal from the remote which would indicate a reprogramming is needed too.
