The switch is a input to the lighting control module , the lighting control module will supply a ground to the control side of the rear window defroster relay ,energizing the relay sending B+ power to the defroster grid.

There may be a fuse in the fuse panel under dash, but defoggers are often found with a circuit breaker rather than a fuse. There may also be a relay in the circuit to the rear window. You could pull off the connector at the window, and with key on and defogger switch on, check for power at the connector. If you have power, one of the grid wires on the window may be broken. Kits are available to fix that.
If no power at the window, IDK, may have to find a wiring diagram, or have an electrician or mechanic start looking into it. Good luck.

You may need to install a 20amp fuse in solt #6 if there isnt a fuse already there, also the only other thing is a rear defogger timer behind the leftside of the dash, besides that you have the glass and the switch,wiring is in place, the timer may also be there, but if not thats the only other thing you will need, heres a wiring diagram to help, good luck.

DId you try lowering and raising the window fuilly?
Is the problem still present?

its under the dash to the left of the steering column like the book says, and theres a black box with a black plastic nut on it, take the nut off and the fuse box is behind there. hope that helps you.

There are 3 fuses that control the rear defogger, and 1 relay

The fuses are: 10 amp HEATER, 10 amp MIRROR-HEATER; under the dash
The 30 amp DEF fuse is in the fuse box under the hood
The relay is the DEFOGGER relay, which is on the back side of the fuse panel under the dash

Also, check for a loose wire on the defroster grid (on the back glass), this is the most common problem.
