The ECU is not reading the chip in the key. Replacing the ECU will not solve the problem. It is an input issue(signal to ECU) not an output issue ( signal from ECU). Perform an OBDII scan of stored fault history. Probably an ignition switch problem.

DOES YOUR CAR CRANKS OR IS COMPLETELY DEAD ONLY LIGHTS? IF IT CRANKS AND DOESN'T ENGINE RUN THEN IT IS EITHER THE ALARM ( IMMOBILIZER )SYSTEM ACTIVATED,OR THE IGNITION KEY FAILURE. IF YOU HAVE A SPARE IGNITION KEY TRY AGAIN ( THE KEY TO BE THE ONE WITH CHIP INSIDE ).IF IT IS COMPLETELY DEAD THEN YOU NEED THE ASSISTANCE OF A QUALIFIED PERSON TO DIS ACTIVATE THE ALARM AND CHECK ALSO YOUR SMART KEY AS WELL .

This car is 15 years old. Personally, I have never heard of a vehicle that would do that. Try to find another vehicle that is newer. Nobody wants to get another vehicle, but it would be better than putting up with this problem.

Don't try start the engine when the oil light turn on, it would harm your piston, camshaft and crankshaft
It should be the oil pump has broken and need to replace, tow your car to the nearest service center

the red light is to a alarm system you may have or may not it stays on all the time when you do not have the system i have not worked on a pt with the factory system so this is all i can tell you do not worry it means nothing , but it dose stay on larry

its probably the key alarm the lock cylinder may need to be replaced
