Nearly everyone has heard a washing machine with noisy bearings so if your car engine sounds like it has one of those inside you could be right. Waterpumps sometimes make a skreeeling noise too. Whatever the noise, if it is loud enough to turn heads it is time to panic. If the pump is driven by the timing belt ignoring such a noise for a second longer could cost you big.
Some pumps also make a sort of soft knocking noise just before the bearing collapses.

Some pumps start to leak before the mechanical integrity is at risk but some can hang onto the coolant until the pump actually breaks.

Jeff (above) is right and getting it checked out is best. Overheating can be difficult to isolate...

My car is overheating... I have replaced hose outlet, cap, Thermostat, fan, fan relays, radiator, and the problem is still there... any clue?

Although I have no heard of this happening on your particular car, there is one thing.
When the car is warm, have someone who is extremely careful feel the lower radiator hose whilst the motor is running.
Some cars will have a tired and soft lower radiator hose that will suck together when the engine is revved.
This normally does not happen whilst the car is in the driveway, you actually have to have it running down the street, so it would not normally be noticeable just by revving the engine .
God bless your efforts.

05 Durango 5.7 Hemi overheating. We replaced the water pump it was leaking. While we were doing that we changed the thermostat, flushed the radiator, replaced the belt and the coolant temp sensor.

You need to verify you have power going to the fans or run the Durango and see if the fan are coming on, you may have a bad wire or relay to the fans.

What makes a car run hot?

I would replace the temp sensor since youve already done pump. Also make sure your fan is kicking on could be a bad fan relay.

Fan not coming on car overheating

Check the fuse first, if that is ok check the thermostatic switch which is located in the radiator. Short it out across the two terminals and see if the fan comes on, if not then you need to check the relay which will be in the main relay box or the fuse box.

I have a 1997 dodge grand caravan with a 3.8L I replaced the radiator cooling fan relay switch and fuses but when idling for more than 5 mins. the van starts overheating

Water pump impeller could be bad or thermostat is stuck shut. I would change thermostat first, easy to change, cost under $10.00 Water pump is hard to change in this van, you have to remove right tire, then inside wheel well, then loosen 3 top motor mount bolts which will lower engine so you can get to water pump and tensioner.

The temperature gauge goes to the High and basically makes like a dinging sound, then it goes back down almost immediately. The car has not overheated but does make a gurgling sound when we shut the car...

before you think the thermostat is bad, first look in the fuse/relay box. lift the lid and look inside the lid for the correct location for the cooling fan fuse/relay. also if that is ok then unplug the cooling fan and use jumper wires to jump from the fan to the battery. if the fan runs then the relay maybe bad or the coolant temperature sensor may be going bad. rule of thumb if the car has run for awhile and got hot u can touch the upper radiator hose, if its hot then the water is circulating. if the upper hose feels cold then the thermostat is stuck open. replace the thermostat.

CHECK ANTIFREEZE IN RADIATOR.IF LOW ADD COOLANT.CHECK FOR LEAKING RADIATOR HOSES AND WATER PUMP HOSE.ALSO CHECK RADIATOR FOR LEAKS.IF ALL GOOD NO RADIATOR LEAKS.REPLACE THERMOSTAT.IF STILL OVER HEATS AFTER REPLACING THERMOSTAT .CHECK COOLING FANS FOR OPERATION AND COOLANT SENSOR.ALSO CHECK TO MAKE SURE WATER PUMP WEEP HOLES IS NOT LEAKING.BECAUSE A BAD WATER PUMP CAUSES OVERHEATING ALSO.
