You are dealing with 2 issues
code p 0325 refers to knock sensor (KS) 1 bank 1--circuit malfunction ====causes ---wiring ---poor connection ---KS
code p 0340 refers to camshaft position sensor(CMP) sensor A bank 1--circuit malfunction===causes wiring--- CMP sensor ---ECM
code p 0344 refers to CMP sensor A bank 1 --circuit intermittent===causes --wiring --poor connection---CMP sensor --ECM
check wiring and connections before replacing the CMP as the wiring may be the cause of all the codes

Where is the po344 sensor on a 2003 pt cruiser limited edition

P0344 indicates a cam sensor problem. This can be a very tricky code to diagnose. replacing the cam sensor typically does not fix the problem. I would suggest having this properly diagnosed by either the dealer or a reputable independent shop.

If you would like to try replacing the cam sensor it is located on the drivers side of the head just below the valve cover. there should be a couple of bolts holding it onto the head and I believe a three pin connector attached to it.

WHAT CAN I DO TO REPAIR THIS CODE PO344 REPLACED CAM SENSOR DID NOT HELP CAN YOU PLESES HELP ME

Well code 344 means the signal coming from cam sensor 1 is failing at times. If you have replaced the sensor, it could be the cam, or the wiring.
You may need the actual factory troubleshooting chart for the code to find the problem.

PO345 is the cam shaft positioning sensor and PO325 is the knock sensor. Check your starter and your battery.

I need to know where the Cam Shaft sensor is for my 2005 PT Cruiser is. My car is sputtering and the car is not starting when the switch is turn on.

the cam sensor is near the battery. it is on the end of the cylinder head rear. you should have a code po340 if the cam sensor is bad. get someone to scan it before replacing the sensor . check under the car for a wire rubbing on the cv shaft that goes to the crank sensor.

Car will not run, got two DTC's po340 and po325

The po340 is a cam sensor code ,po325 is a crank sensor code>THE crank if it goes bad will through both codes, and also the car will not start. You will have no spark or injector pulse. So have your crank sensor checked:)

DTC - PO340, PO325

My Nissan micro 2004 model just stopped in the middle of the road one day then the engine management light came on, anyway took it to my local garage TWK Thomas who said it was a cam shaft sensor problem. OK so sensor was put on, engine management light went off for two days only. So went back to the garage they said that another sensor should be fitted on the opposite side. And then the problem should be rectified, but i had given the £160 for this problem to be fixed the first time. I decided it was time to take it to another garage Nis Tec they put it on the computer and a code po340 came up would this mean another sensor or the cam chain has stretched please help. ...claire

Po340 and po344 intrepid

Take a look at this link http://www.obd-codes.com/p0340.  The problem lies in the cam shaft sensor circuit which means that it isn't necessarily the sensor itself.  Read what that page has to say and just start from the top and work your way down the solutions.  As far as how much it cost, it obviously depends on what is wrong, but assuming it is your cam shaft sensor you can buy the part for around forty dollars at AutoZone.  Let me know if you have any other questions.  Thanks for rating my response and for using FixYa!
