2007 Nissan Maxima. I bought an aftermarket HUD with blindside sensors. It should plug into the OBD. There are two plugs on the kit. Need the wiring diagrams. HELP.

My car has factory back up sensors. Is this taking up space for the second plug?

SOURCE: 1996 Nissan Maxima 2.5 V6 Engine Knock sensor

The knock sensor is a major pain in the a..s to change I would suggest taking it to a reputable shop for a second opinion to see if they realy performed the work. Also with OBD11 (2) diagnostics if you have multiple misfires its not the wires its something else, also if you got a code for a misfire it would be specific as to which cylinder is misfiring. My best guess would be to get your coil checked.

Do 1995 nissan maxima wiring differ from 1999 0r 1998 model?

Since 1995 is OBD I and a 1999 and 1998 are OBD II for smog then I would venture a guess that the newer one has some sensors that the 1995 model doesn't have. So the wiring is most likely different from the '95 to the '98/'99...the '98 and '99 are most likely the same as each other.

Nissan Maxima speedometer reads 20 mph but actual speed is 40-50 mph, is my transmission going bad?

NO, IT'S NOT THE TRANSMISSION! SOUNDS LIKE A SPEEDOMETER PROBLEM! THAT WOULD BE ONE OF THREE THINGS! EITHER THE SPEEDOMETER, THE CABLE, OR THE SPEED SENSOR! THE SPEED SENSOR WILL USUALLY GIVE YOU A P0500 CODE ON AN OBD-II CODE READER! THE SPEED SENSOR IS ELECTRONIC SPEED CONTROL LOCATED ON THE TRANSMISSION! SOME HAVE A SPEEDOMETER CABLE HOOKED TO THEM, AND SOME JUST HAVE A 2 WIRE PLUG THAT HOOKS TO IT!

Install new block heater

I have installed block heaters in lots of vehicles. I typically use the heaters that are in place of a freeze plug. I feel that these give better results and do not compromise the safety feature that the freeze plugs are there for in the first place.

You can pick these up in various sizes at any reputable auto parts store.
