Check the hydraulic fluid box coming off the master cylinder/brake fluid reservoir which has the tubing connections which go to the four disc brakes, you may have a corroded flange under the screw nut fitting which is leaking. You may see some fluid/residue. If OK, then have to check connection to each brake caliper for similar leakage. If still no obvious source, master cylinder may be at fault, or you might have holed/corroded a brake line. One can buy the faulty tubing from Saab or online and match the bends with a tube bender, replace, then bleed brakes. Any doubts, bring it to a shop.
Goes without saying that the car should not be driven until you fix the problem out get it serviced.

If you have checked round the rest of the vehicle for brake fluid leaks and you are unable to pinpoint a leak. Eg calipers, brake flexible hoses, brake pipes. The next step would be to check the brake master cylinder by removing from the servo to check the rear seals.

When i press the brake pedal on my 2003 chevy tahoe there is a loud whooshing sound, what is causeing this?

You have a bad vacuum booster. The diaphragm in the booster is ruptured resulting in vacuum loss and no power assist to the brakes. Do not drive in this condition, loss of control (stopping) hazard exist.. Replace Power Brake Booster. Since replacement of the booster requires removal of the master cylinder, replace the master cylinder as well, It is old (2003) and time for replacement

The brake light on dash comes on when going around corner...I put 15" wheels on it....as I drive it used to go off,but as soon as i go around another corner back on it comes

If it's the red light, it means you are low on brake fluid. Usually because the brakes are so worn that the fluid is all in the calipers. Check the front brakes for wear.

The dashboard parking brake light comes on while driving and I have checked to make sure the brake has been fully released. What could be the problem?? It doesn't stay on, it comes on and off.

Look at fluid level, some systems invoke the parking light for low fluid. I presume to confuse you. I think the thinking works like this: When you have full new brakes and full M/C by the time the M/C fluid gets consumes by prake pad consumption, the light goes off. If you replaced the front pads, the fluid gets pushed back into the M/C resovoir, and the light goes out. Bet that you are pretty close to needing pads, presuming no leaks or other issues.

How to bleed the brakes after you replace rear brake lines

hi, if you look at the back of the brake drum you will see a little bleed nipple just sticking out think its an 8ml or 10ml spanner fit, what you then need to do is find a piece of plastic pipe that will fit over the top of this to catch any fluid then make sure the brake fluid is topped up, you then need someone in the car to operate the brake pedal and some one at the back where the bleed nipple is once you have this you need to do the following

1 undo bleed nipple a couple of turns
2 get person in the car to push brake pedal to the floor and hold it on the floor.
3 when pedal is at floor tighten the bleed nipple up and get the person to let the brake pedal come up.
4 when pedal is up all the way undo bleed nipple and get person in car to push pedal to floor.
5 when pedal at floor tighten bleed nipple up
6 let pedal up
7bleed nipple undo a bit
7 pedal down to floor
8bleed nipple do up
9 pedal up
10undo bleed nipple

now keep doing that until all you have got coming out is fluid and no air when you have this do bleed nipple up and check the brakes to make sure they are not spongy.

whilst doing this you need to make sure the brake fluid level dont drop to low as you will have to bleed the front as well so keep checking the level and make sure its well topped up throughout the whole process

if you have any problems give me a shour back ok

Abs light on

Hi:
The first thing to determine on your car is if it is safe to drive: Check your brake fluid level in the reservoir, and make sure you don't detect any leakage around any wheel/ tire areas. Your ABS light can be scanned and tell you what tripped it. Most auto parts stores, such as auto zone, will do this for free. The most common cause is usually a bad or dirty wheel speed sensor, but have your car checked out to narrow down the problem.
