Could a 99 Lincoln town car drivers door be exchange with a 98-00 Grand Marquis drivers door?

Most salvage yards have interchange manuals that tell what other models will work. The steering column from a Ford Crown Victoria, Mercury Grand Marquis, or Lincoln Town Car from 90s should work. Check with a salvage yard to be sure though.

It should. I know it will physically fit, but weather the electrical controls are the same, I am not sure. If you switch the electronics off of the 99 and place them onto the 2000, you should be good. The only thing I would worry about would be the transmission. If you go to www.car-part.com and search for the part you are using. The site has a built in Hollander interchange and should list if one is compatible with the other. If it isn't listed, then there must be a difference.

All vehicles are pretty much the same with replacing a door. There will be bolts holding it on when you open the door, unplug the electrical and take off the bolts.

Town car is assisted to the crown vic and grand marquis.

Go to salvage yard and get one from a deceased similar vehicle
