If the coil pack has a four wire connector, one wire is primary voltage, the other three wires are ground, one ground for each coil, one coil fires two spark plugs. If problem with coil or ground, you would lose spark for two spark plugs. Did you visually check for spark, everywhere? What about the spark plug wire or the spark plug, itself?

My 2004 Pontiac Aztec/rally has a different firing order stamped om the coil packs. They are from left to right standing in front of car they are 523641. Why am I getting different order?

This is not the firing order that is stamped on the coil packs.
Coils are matched by 2 pairs of cylinders for ignition spark plugs and coils system.
1- Like 5 2 and 3 6 and 4 1
2- Pairs of 2 cylinders are firing at the same time.
3- When cylinder number 5 fire at ( Power Cycle) the cylinder number 2 fire but in ( Exhaust Cycle ). That is why you have those number stamped on the coil packs.

Hope it helps.

Cylinders #2 and #3 aren't firing on a 2004 PT Cruiser. Already replaced cam and crank sensors.

Take out the harness connector (3 pin) from the ignition coil pack.
Point it to your self, the lock is upwards. There are 3 female pins on the connector. The right most connector is the switching signal wire to cylinder number 2 and 3 simultaneously. Center pin is 12 V supply and the left most is switching signal wire for cylinder number 1 and 4 simultaneously.
Now the problem may lie in:
- The high tension cords.
- The short or open circuit between the ignition coil pack connector and the ECM.
- Short or open circuit between the camshaft position sensor and the ECM.
- Short or open circuit between the crankshaft position sensor and the ECM.
- Valve timing incorrect, or timing belt tooth over jumped.
- Broken or damaged crank shaft sprocket.
- The ignition coil pack.

Can you tell me what the firing order is when looking at the motor of a 2005 GMC Envoy SLT 4.2?

Firing order is 1, 5, 3, 6, 2, 4. Number 1 cylinder is up front. Why would you need the firing order, this engine does not have plug wires, each plug has its own coil pack, each coil pack is controlled by the computer.
