Turn the key on for ten minutes, off for thirty seconds. This is a reset. A relearn is three times this, try to start after the third time. Have a charger on the battery with a relearn.

SOURCE: I have 2001 Pontiac Bonneville My heat works but

Your passenger side temperature door actuator is bad. You can access the actuator by removing the glove box & hush panel. The actuator is on the side of the HVAC box. If you can gain access to the actuator watch the center of the actuator as you change the temp on the control head, if the actuator does not move it is bad, if it does, the door inside the HVAC box is bad. Most likely its the actuator. If you remove the actuator & open it up you will most likely find the large center plastic gear is cracked all the way through. It is held in place by 2 or 3 7/32 screws. Once you replace it, disconnect your battery wait 30 seconds and reconnect it to reset the HVAC control head so it can relearn your actuator positions. It can take up to 5 minutes for the control head to go through it's relearn procedure. You can try resetting the actuator first , but make sure your radio is turned off before you disconnect the battery and if your luck, the actuator may not have any broken parts and the gears may just need to be freed up and lubed. Good luck friend and hope this helps.

Try with disconnecting the negative wire of the battery and waiting. About 5 mins should be enough, but if you have a theft-proof area, leave it overnight.

SOURCE: 2001 pontiac cowl pack not fireing.

Here is a diagram of the firing order for you 3800 engine. Cylinders 1 and 4 are misfiring because the operate under the same "Coil Pack" and the coil pack has unfortunately gone bad. O'Reilly sells them for between $30-50 depending on the amount of warranty coverage you want. To replace, simply unscrew the screws that hold the coil pack in place. WAIT before unplugging the plug wires. Place the old coil pack and new coil pack next to each other, unplug one plug wire, then plug it to that same port on the new coil pack. then do the same for the other plug wire. Then screw your new coil pack in place, and start you car. should run fine!

2001 pontiac bonneville check engine light won;t go off

Once the CEL has set, it remains lit until the problem that set it is resolved and the light reset using a OBD Scantool. Certain intermittent issue can cause the light to go on and off on occasion, but most faults, once set, remain until reset by the scantool. If the fault is still present after resetting the light, it will set again as soon as the system detects the failure.

Abs light on 2001 bonniville

Pontiac bills the Bonneville as "Luxury with Attitude." That's an accurate description, given its basis on Cadillac's Seville platform and available 240-horse supercharged V6 engine. If traditional Pontiac styling twists your crank, and you want a large sedan packed with performance and features, the Bonneville is your kind of ride.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

My security system in my 1992 pontiac bonneville is blinking and my car wont start what can i do, i have a reset key where do i put it

Sounds like your theft modulator has gone bad. The same thing happened on my 94 Deville. Try Disconnecting the positive cable from your battery for 10 minutes to reset the system. If That doesn't work look into replacing the theft modulator.

No,check for spark first. The security code comes off the key itself & never needs servicing. If no spark, there's a load of things to check, but start with the fuses, then engine codes. Should narrow it down a bit.
