You may have a short in wiring to fuel pump. Try this! remove the wires from fuel pump, then turn key to start the car briefly. If the fuse does not blow, its likely the fuel pump is drawing to much current and blowing the fuse. God-Bless!

Disconnect the fuel pump at the fuel tank, if the short stops the fuel pump is defective not the wiring harness to it, a shorted fuel pump is much more common than shorted wiring to the pump .

Commonly submerged in the fuel tank. Some require the removal of the bottom rear seat, others need entire tank dropped to access.
If memory serves, you will need to drop the tank to access on the P.Ave.
Save yourself some time and pop off the rear seat just to be sure.

SOURCE: change fuel pump on 1994 buick park avenue

Drain all gas as much as possible for weight reasons, Unhook fuel lines, unhook electrical connections, and ground connections, filler tube, and straps, then tank will drop out. Remove retaining ring on sending unit remove unit from tank taking note how it comes out because its got to go back in the same way it came out, chg. pump on sending unit there is one electrical plug, reinstall unit in tank with retaining ring, assemble in reverse order.

95 buick park avenue fuel pump not turning on

check all your fuses first. if they are good see if the pump is getting power to it, if so and the pump is still inactive, then the pump is bad. also check and see if your car has a fuel shut off switch, if so, try and reset it. if nothing happens, replace your pump

My 1991 Buick park avenue keeps blowing the fuel pump fuse

Somewhere along the harness to the Fuel tank, you will find that, probably due to age of vehicle. That the harness protective sheath, has chafed on a rough edge, or other contact point, on its journey to the rear.
Alternately, the Pump may have failed internally, creating a Ground out.
Disconnect the electric coupling at the tank, and circuit test the Power supply, coming down that line, from the front, by inserting a NEW fuse, of the correct AMP rating, and switch on the ignition. If the fuse does not blow, then you are alert to a Pump fault, if it does, then the remedy,is in finding the Ground out along the run of the harness. Using a Multimeter, the power to the pump should exceed 12.0 volts from the front of vehicle supply, anything lower, is an electrical supply fault.
