If you pull the windows they will separate from the window channel hardware. If separated there is nothing to keep the window glass held up and it will fall back down. Check your fuses for power windows, there may be more than one. Also check the power window relay(s). The relays may be located under the hood in the fuse box.
SOURCE: Door panels
You'll need to remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. You'll need to lift the door panel upwards in order to get it off the window ledge. If needed, you can pull back the weather seal (can't reuse it, but it's not that important) and you will be able to access everything inside the door
SOURCE: 2004 cts cadillac trunk will not open with remote
if you here a clicking sound when you push the remote or the drivers button then the solenoid and fuse are probably o.k. lubricate the trunk lid catch and operate the latch a few times, also check the tension on the trunk itself , it should lift up part of the way by itself, if not 1. lubricate the hinges and move trunk lid up and down. if still bad 2. if it has a tension rod adjust the rod to a stronger setting if it has gas shocks, 3.replace shocks. if no click and fuse is good solenoid may be bad

Check fuse.. Test for power to trunk release solenoid. When door button, or remote trunk release button is pushed. If there is power ( use a 12 volt test light ) most probably faulty release . Hope this helps

SOURCE: cadillac cts cranks but won't start
My 2003 CTS would not start on the first, second or third try after filling the gas tank. Finally after several months of this occuring every two weeks a check engine light came on. It was the evac purge valve. Tom
