If all the brake light bulbs are ok it could be the brake light switch which is normally on the brake pedal hope this helps.also check if theres a fuse for your brake lights some vehicles do.

2006 Chevrolet Colorado, only left front turn signal works, not even hazard are working.

first check the brake light fuse it powers the rear bulbs.
remove and verify that all bulbs are working. note the wire colors going to the bulbs. replace as needed.
next check the turn signal switch. if broken replace.
sometimes switches break on the inside so measure from the power lead to the outputs. The wires going to the bulbs. easy because they are on the bulbs you checked.
if you have towing package there will be a connector to hook up lights on the trailer. Inspect for bare wires or cuts in the insulation.
good luck

The brake lights on my 2004 Chevy Colorado are not working. It has new bulbs and the fuse is not blown. What else could it be?

Look above your brake pedal and you will see your brake switch up along your brake pedal arm. It will either be between the brake arm and the firewall so when you brake it pushes the switch in. Or it will be between the dash and the brake arm so when you brake it pulls the switch out. Most likely this switch needs to be replaced

BRAKE LIGHTS DO NOT WORK, AND BULBS ARE GOOD AND FUSE.

The problem is in one of two areas. Either the brake light switch near the brake pedal is faulty or your ground is poor. Unless you are mechanically inclined the best and cheapest way to solve this is to go to any autoelectric shop. You can find them in the yellow pages under autoelectric.

Have a 2005 chevy colorado, i installed a four way harness exactly how the directions say, but when i connect the trailor only the right and left turn signal and taillights work. No break lights.

On the truck, are the turn signals and the brake lights using the same bulb, if the brake lights are using a different bulb the trailer might not work withe the truck if it only has a 4 wire plug, might have to add brake lights to the trailer and use a 5 wire plug, yes this means rewiring the trailer and adding lights
