First check for voltage at hot wire to light. check wire before the socket. Then check the ground wire for a good ground, if all is ok! then its a bad socket. God-Bless!

Regular lights work but when u press brake only passenger brake light goes on, i changed the brake bulb which was bad but still no brake light when pushing brake on driver side

sounds like you have a short in the drivers side brake light. it may be due to corrosion in the bulb inlet.try cleaning the bulb socket itself with wd40 or add bulb grease to the bulb. you may have a broken wire to it also.check with a test light to confirm you have power to the bulb when brakes applied, this will take 2 people 1 to press brakes and1 to check for current with a test light at the tail light itself. you may only have corrosion in the brake light bulb socket,so,,do this 1st. with lights off,, remove the bulb on driversside, add a little bulb grease to your bulb, insert it into the bulb socket, and then remove the bulb again,do this 3 times, make sure the bulbs getting connection. then apply the brakes and see if the light comes on. thank you for choosing fixya.com

When i press brake pedal driver side brake light quits working but other wise it works fine?

That has a double filament bulb in it. One is for the tail light and the other for the brake and maybe the turn signal. If your turn signal flashes the tail light and not an individual turn signal bulb it will behave the same way. The way it works is that the tail light filament goes off and the brighter brake light filament comes on. The brake light half of the bulb is out. If you change it, change the passenger side too, it will do the same shortly if you leave it in. They tend to go bad in pairs. Good luck.

2003 dodge durango driver side brake light not working

Use a 12 Volt test light at the tail light connector and see if power is present at the harness, this would indicate a possible defective bulb socket.

Mazda 3 tail light on, brake light not on

The bulb actually has two seperate elements in it.
That is why the tail light works fine.

If you take the bulb out you will see the seperate elements.
Change the bulb and it should be fine.
