The link below is a good resource to find the meaning of your codes. The E41 code is listed here as P041 or (E041).

SOURCE: what are these codes for 92 cadillac deville

Hello williamcole7: My name is Roger and I will help you. The code 888 is a test code. This tests the L e d's of the dash cluster. All segments must light so you can read all numbers. The 70 code means the system is ready and able to function. The ff code is a current BCM code and is happening at the moment. The f 40 code is a BCM history code and means it was a stored problem or something that has happened. The f 40 code is for a air mix door problem. THe BCM would set this if you had an A/C problem. The E 48 code deals with the EGR system fault. I would check for a vacuum leak at the EGR solenoid. The hose is prone to deterioration do to heat from the engine. Code E52 deal with loss of voltage. A dead battery or a disconnected battery cable will always set this code. None of these codes will keep the car from running.The repair schematics are to extensive to send in a reply. Should you need further help ao assistance I will be glad to help. Please rate the answer. Thank You for using Fix Ya. Roger

What does an e48 code mean on 1990 cadillac

Below os a description of what code e48 is and basically has to do with the EGR system and your computer doing tests and the tests failing. As far as the other codes I'm not certain to be honest with you. I do know by holding the "OFF" & "LOW" buttons at the same time clears the codes in the BCM and a 7.0 should appear at the end. The .0.7 and the .8.8.8 I am sorry but didn't have any luck with that and really haven't heard of. Wish I could be more help but here is the description on the e48 for you. Hope this helps.

What do these codes mean E31-E41-E74-F31? can you help?

E31 = Shorted MAP cicuit sensor
E41 = Cam sensor circuit problem
E74 = Intermittent MAT

F31 = Display panels to BCM problem

This is to say if the vehicle is a 1991 Cadillac Deville
Then the Trouble Codes are as I listed above.
For future reference, the F is for BCM codes.

When entering the on screen diagnostics the display starts with one E for the PCM history, then E.E. for current. Same sequence follows for BCM codes starting with one F for history and F.F. for current ones

Ik am getting when I do the code check on my 92 cadillac deville 888 then the E52, then F31 then a 7.0. What does all this mean?

Hello: Here is a breakdown of the codes you have: 888 is the segment check which tells you the system can display all codes, E-52 tells you the battery has been disconnected. It tells you that an idle learn should be performed. This idle learn is a very long procedure, you need a Service manual to perform it. The F-31 means there is a communication problem between the fuel data panel and the BCM (body control module). Most likely a Fuel Data Panel, but it could be wiring and/or a intermittent BCM. It would require intensive trouble shooting. 7.0 means the self diagnostic system is ready to go to the next step. If you go to Auto Zone or Advance Auto Parts you can buy a manual for your car (about 20.00 Dollars) I would like to be of more help but what you have requires hands on troubleshooting.
