2000 chevy prizm accelerate slow or sluggish

hi there, i would try a tune up first (fuel filter, plugs wires ,cap and rotor, and air filter.)

I had the same problem, a small shudder or stall on accelleration. It was the was mass air flow sensor.

Well 1 way to tell if it is the cat un bold the exhaust at the manifold or try and remove the oxygen sensors in front of the cat if it runs fine then you know that the cat is pluged

SOURCE: my 2002 chevy prizm is missing. i accelerate and

problem is solved there was a missing hose that goes to the intake from the throttle sensor this sensor senses the position of the throttle and when it is missing it senses that the throttle is wide open at all times thus feeding full fuel at all times costed 5 dollars to fix but well worth it car runs like a top now
