I have a 2005 Hyundai Tuscon. Both my battery & brake indicator lights came on my dashboard while driving. Just replaced alternator, battery & starter within the last month. The car was running fine.

Brake indicator could be low reservoir level
take it back to where you got the alternator and have it all tested
it could be a problem voltage regulator that is causing a problem in the ECM resulting in the lights

SOURCE: 2005 Dodge caravan dashboard indicator lights and dials went haywire

2005 Caravan I had the same problem with my van gauges bounceing, headlights not comeing on when the switch was turned on.I took a day and downloaded a wireing diagram from dodge and studyed it.GROUND PROBLEM dodge have several ground conections to the body then there is one MAIN BODY GROUND.This is most likely your problem it is easy for any back yard mechanic to fix.This main body ground is located under your battery box.You will have to remove the battery and then the battery box becarful of the battery sensor that is mounted in the bottom of the box.Also there is a hose that you will have to disconnect but dont try to remove it from the box remove it from above the box.After you get the battery and box out you will see a threaded stud with a black wire conected to it this will be rusted because of no antioxide grease applyed.You will have to remove the nut and wire connector clean both and the stud with wire brush or sandpaper.Put antioxide grease or if nothing else some vaseline to keep it from coroading again.put back together and see if this dosent fix your problem.It has been six weeks for me now.good luck.dont forget that neg battery terminal is the first one to disconect and the last to reconect.

SOURCE: 2002 Hyundai Accent lost power

Hi and welcome to FixYa,

Offhand, definitely an electrical issue. Some ideas to check, consider and/or explore:

  • IGN switch - check for loose, corroded or heating connections. To test, under normal usage of the vehicle, should feel warm but not overly hot. If so, then possibly loose connection;
  • fuse/relay box - check for loose, corroded or burned terminals, holders, clips and connectors/pins. Use an electrical contact cleaner and spray. It may also be necessary to scrape to remove burnt marks/corrosion;
  • fusible link - the battery would have 2 wires connected to the + terminal. The big wire goes to the starter, the smaller of the two is the electrical systems main wire. This normally goes to the fuse/relay box. Check for frayed ends, loose connection, corroded terminals. In some instances instead of being at the battery's + terminal, it is connected to the end of the big cable down at the starter motor.
  • ALL connectors with big wires - these carry the main +12 either as always ON, ACC or IGN. If a connector has a wire bigger than the others, check them. It may be necessary to disconnect to enable you access to the inside pins/terminals. Scrape them clean.
Good luck and Thank you for using FixYa.

SOURCE: Brake and Battery dashboard lights coming on at same time

Check looseness or corrosion on the leads and wiring at the battery terminals. Check for looseness or corrosion on the alternator connectors. With vehicle started and reved to 2000RPM, use a voltmeter to measure voltage and that measurement should be between 13.5-14.8. If you're unable to achieve this voltage have your alternator checked at autozone or advance auto, its free. Hopefully this helps

06 Hyundai Tuscon,4 cyl.,5 spd,the escape button keeps coming on when driving,

Most likely your brake light switch. Chances are, that's the problem. Your brake lights are probably not working when the ESC comes on as well.

My dashboard lights (battery emergency brake light & air bags) are flashing on my dashboard while driving but go out when I come to a stop on my 2001 santa fe

Whenever this warning light or any other stays on in the dash it is indicating that the systems control module (or the system sensor in the case of lights like low oil pressure, door open indicators etc.) has detected a fault, it then disables the system (this applies to ABS,TCS, TCM, SRS and BCM faults and others) as long as the light is on. You must now have the dealer hook up a special electronic diagnostic tool and "scan" the system for the fault code that is stored for the problem(s)

Legend of Abbreviations. ABS Antilock brake system.TCS Traction control system, TCM Transmission control module, SRS Supplemental restraint system, BCM Body control module

The brake and battery light came on? I changed battery and the lights didnt go off?

Battery light usually indicates alternator failure. Check alternator.
Brake light indicates brake issue. Brakes must be inspected for leaks, check reservoir fluid level, etc.
