When I roll window up there is a gap. Its like it needs a stopper,its chipping the glass

the service manual covers all that. why not buy it or rent it
generic, jack up engine a tad, and unbolt mount. end.

Attach a cable or chain to the engine hooks, and then lift enough so that there is no pressure on the insulators.
called the rear roll stopper (by maker)

1. Remove the bolt from the rear roll stopper.
2. Remove the rear roll stopper from the sub - frame.

Drivers window usually gets much mre use than the others, so some internal part is worn or has come loose. If you know how to remove door panel you may be able to figure out what is wrong, or get a body shop to fix/adjust the glass.

Yes there should be a stop if the window is power. You may be missing a guide also.
Someone will need to pull the door panel off and take a look at the tracks.

I don't know the exacts on this, but if you remove the door panel, you will see a window regulator. Clean out all of the glass from the door first. roll the window back down to the middle and you will see the mounts for the old glass where it connects to the regulator. remove the nuts that go to that and remove whatever is left of your window. Go to an auto glass shop and get a replacement window. Most likely they will already have your glass ready to go. Just take the new glass and at an angle slide it down into the door until it lines up with where it mounts to the regulator and re attach the nuts...roll the window up and down to make sure it isn't catching on anything and then put it all back together...you can easily do this yourself...it just takes time to do it right. If manual window winder

Your driver's window glass may have come off the regulator mechanism.


If electric window control

The glass may have detached from the regulator or the regulator cable has unwound itself off the mechanism (ie tension during upward motion, but loose when motor stops winding).

Your driver's door panel will need to be removed to inspect your window regulator operation.

Your window has a lower glider that floats on a track, and sometimes when people replace the glass they fail to replace the stopper on the end, which acts as a brake. If you can see the track with the panel off, watch as you roll up the window and see if the rollers stay in the track. Also remember that the glass has a glider glued to its back side to keep the window level as you roll. The most common problem here is the glass slipping off track, and a new track inserted into your window frame will fix that (Dealer Item)

Sounds like a window guide is broken or disconnected allowing the glass to shift forward. Only removal of the door panel and visual inspection will tell what the problem is.

Thanks for the info, I think I can help. Roll the window down until it tilts forward just a little. Once the glass has tilted forward, do you see a tiny hole in the rear upper corner of the glass? I think your model has a small piece of plastic that hooks into that hole and rides up and down the vertical window track to hold the glass straight.

the window regulator broke thats what you heard you will need to replce it this is the part that ataches to the window glass and the window motor

needs a window regulator they are going bad like left and right, Chrysler updated the part so you have to replace the glass too
