Are you positive its the fuel pump? Have you tried running the pump with the return line off to see if it pumps fuel? They don't always have to make a noise.

Bought an 04 kia spectra 4x4 3.5l last night I was driving and it died. Had between 1/2-3/4 tank of gas can't figure out what's going on.

check fuses and relays --is it getting fuel --check fuel pump --fuel filter --getting spark--check ignition system -switch to coils --no power or not turning over --test battery starter alternator and connections

Hard starting, no power, idles rough, check engine lite code shows misfire on #1,#2 and #3 cylinders

check fuel pressure, check fuel pressure regulator, change fuel filter. If fuel pressure is low it could be a bad pump, a clogged filter, or a malfunctioning fuel pressure regulator. If all those check out, then check crankshaft and camshaft position sensors.

My 2000 kia spectra was running fine and just died an dnow won't start. All of ther lights work so it isn't the alternator. ANy suggestions?

may be the fuel pump check for power going to the fuel pump if there is power then listen for the pump to come on when you turn the key to the on possition this will be a humming sound comming from the rear of the car

2002 Kia Spectra has no power to fuel pump

try to locate the fuel pump relay. the pump should be turned on by the relay controlled by the computer. If you can't find the relay, to your local parts store, sometimes they have a component locator and can tell you exactly where it is.
