Brake light and ABS light, stays on in my dash on my 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 2WD, changed pads / rotors, lights went off for a second than came back on

Have it checked for DTC'S - diagnostic trouble codes . ABS and brake light on , codes are stored in the EBCM - electronic brake control module . Could be ABS relay , control module , pump motor and the only way to find out what the problem is , have checked for DTC'S

if the car is a 6cyl it might have a bad alternator that will put all the dash lights on, the vibraion could still be the
front rotors have them cut on the car

It can be issue with master cylinder or the problem is there is still some air there in the system,that has to be bleed.Or else the parts replaced are not aligned properly/.I suggest everything back.

These details will help.

Sometimes this can happen when your break fluid is low, so I would double check that first, but usually if the ABS and Brake warning or flashing, or staying on, you are in need of break service on your vehicle. It may only need new brake pads, but you should get it checked as soon as you can.

In the meantime, try to stay mindful to give yourself extra distance for stoping.

When the abs light appears,the brakes reset to regular brakes,with out the anti lock,If for sure the brake liners are good,and the rotors,then it is a bad sensor on one of the wheels,a scanner has to be hooked up to find the correct sensor,on witch wheel is the problem.

check again the connections and that it is clipped on to supports correctly -also check the wires may have damaged or frayed one of the lines

I am having the same problem. I replaced the speed sensor on the rear diff. and the problem went away but when i started it the next day the problem came back. If you figure it out let me know.

there should be adjustment under vehicle looks like bolt attached to cable just back off nut and loosen bolt 

the abs sensors are on the hub not the pads and rotors.sometimes brake dust builds up really heavy or on the magnet ring and it can not generate a pulse. there is also an ABS pump that may be bad ,and it is very expensive,over 1000 dollars.have the sensors tested first.the wheel needs to be turned and the sensor output tested with an oscilloscope or scanner.
