SOURCE: car alarm will not go

If the car has a kill switch, this is causing your car not start because its connected to the ignition or starter. Sounds like the alarm system is defective. If it's aftermarket, you might want to take it back to installers. If it's factory, take it to the dealer. The remote ties into several features that require a trained technician to handle.

SOURCE: 2004 elantra car keys and remote

I bought a 2005 Elantra new at the dealer and they gave me a little silver engraved tab that had a engraved code on it in case I lost my set . If that is your situation ( If you bought it new) I would think they would do the same. If not I would check where you bought it.

SOURCE: 2004 hyundai elantra starter

You culd be having more than one problem. First if you are having problem putting the car in park. The car may not actually be fully in park and therefore the neutral safety switch is active and telling to car you are in revers or in gear. If this is true then your car won't start for safety reasons. Try putting it in Neutral and see if it starts then. Ormay have a neutal safety switch that is bad. Can you hear the starter click when you turn the key to start?

SOURCE: my hyundai elantra 2004 model when ingaging clutch

There is a safety switch that is at the top of the clutch pedal, it sounds like it may be bad. It is really a pain to replace , you may want to take it to a mechanic to have it replaced.

Vehicle has power and wont start the key is not in

this sounds like a dead battery or bad battery connection. start by having the battery test and go from there, but this does sound like a battery or battery connection.

Which fuse controls the burglar or anti-theft alarm on a 2004 Hyundai Elantra? I removed the one called "burglar alarm" (or "start"), but it is not the right one.

The OE alarm is part of the ETACS
To disable it:
1) Sound the alarm
2) Put the key in the ignition and turn to start
3) Hold there until the alarm turns off
You should now be able to start the vehicle. The alarm will remain dis-armed until armed through RKE
