SOURCE: 2004 mazda mvp firing order

The firing order is 1-4-2-5-3-6. The cylinders are, front bank is from drivers side to passenger, 6-5-4 , and 3-2-1 at the firewall. This is for a 2004 Mazda MPV.

SOURCE: Timing Belt Problem-6 cylinder Saturn wont' start

If your timing belt broke, then it is possible that the valves in your engine got bent, which won't allow the cylinders to pressurize the fuel/air mixture, and it will let all of the mix to flow freely into the intake/exhaust manifold. This can be checked with a pressure tester that is threaded into the spark plug opening. A mechanic should have one, or you can probably find one at an auto parts store.

Import interference engines include the following:

* Virtually all Acura and Honda 4-cylinder and V6 passenger car engines;
* 1994 and newer Audi 2.8L V6;
* 1998 & up Audi 1.8L;
* All BMW 2.5L and 2.7L 6-cylinder;
* All Hyundai 4-cylinder and V6 engines;
* Infiniti 3.0L V6;
* Isuzu 1.5L, 2.0L, 2.3L & 2.6L engines;
* Kia 2.0L in the Sportage,
* Mazda 2.0L in the MX-6 and 626, and the 3.0L V6 in the 929 and MPV;
* Most Mitsubishi engines, except the 1.8L, SOHC 2.0L 4-cylinder & SOHC 3.0L V6;
* All Nissan 4-cylinder and V6 engines;
* All Porsche engines;
* 1989-'94 Suzuki 1.3L DOHC;
* Toyota 1.5L Tercel engine;
* 1990-'92 Volkswagen 1.6L diesel; and
* Volvo 2.3L and 2.4L engines.
Unfortunately, the owners of many of these vehicles are totally unaware that their timing belt needs to be periodically replaced for preventive maintenance. The belt is out-of-sight and out-of-mind and, unless they read their owner's manual (which few ever do) and see the replacement recommendation in black-and-white, they usually ignore the belt until it's too late.

Cam position sensor locatio on 05 mazda mpv 6 cylinder 3.0

Sensor is mounted in the timing chain cover at front of engine near drive belts. It is just below the left bank valve cover. This is the valve cover bank that is closest to front of van and radiator.

97 mpv died while driving. gets gas and fuel. is it the timing belt?

When you crank the engine does it sound whinny? If it does then yes its the timing belt, the only real way to tell is to remove the distributor cap and crank the engine and see if the rotor of the distributor turns if it turns then its not the timing belt. Here is the thing 1997 Mazda MPV is identified as a interference engine meaning that if the timing belt broke it is MOST likely to do engine valve damage, So you will have to pull the timing belt cover and inspect the T-belt you will know if its broken when you push on the belt and there is no tension on it,

Hello.. i alredy change my timming belt but when it is done my engine shaking.. so what is the problem? can someone help pls..

Are you replacing the belt because it broke, or just routine maintenance? If you replaced it because it broke, you probably have bent valves. When a belt breaks, the cam(s) stops turning, but the pistons keep going up and down a few times before the engine stops completely. The pistons will hit the valves that were open at the time the belt broke and bend them. If this is the case, the heads must be pulled off and repaired.

Car stalls changed spark plugs still wont start

Not a lot to go on! Remove the distributor cap and see if turns when the engine is cranked. My guess is the timing belt is shot. Frankster016
