Re: which cylinder in #6 on a 2006 V6 hyundai sonata
Autozone.com says that for this vehicle the firing order is 1-2-3-4-5-6 and the set-up is 2/1 4/3 6/5 meaning that the #6 cylinder is far right on the back. It goes #1 #3 and #5 in the front and #2 #4 and #6 in the back.

Hyundai Sonata 2007 have the two variants which are Sonata GLS and Sonata SE. So check out the engine power of the Hyundai Sonata, which are as follows,
=> The Sonata GLS is powered by a 2.4-liter 4-cylinder engine that makes 162-hp and 164 lb.-ft of torque at 4,250 rpm.
=> The Sonata SE and Limited are powered by a 3.3-liter V6 engine that pumps out 234-hp and 226 lb.-ft of torque at 3,500 rpm.
Since the 4 cyl engine uses direct ignition, here is the info for the V6. Standing in front of the car, the cylinders in front are 2-4-6 and the cylinders next to the firewall are 1-3-5. The wires on the coil are 1-4-5-2-3-6. The actual firing order is 123456.
It depends on which engine is in the vehicle. The 2004 Sonata came with two possible powertrains -- the 2.4 Lit L4, and the 2.7 Lit V6.
On the 4 cylinder engine, there are two coil packs and two ignition wires, Below each coil pack is a spark plug (#2 and #4 cylinders). The wire from # 2 coil pack goes to #3 spark plug, and the wire from #4 coil pack goes to #1 spark plug.

Now the 2.7 Lit V6 requires you remove the surge tank (intake manifold) in order to access the spark plugs & wires on Bank 1 (Right Hand side of the engine).
Possible Causes: - Improper spark plug at cylinder #1 - Insufficient compression at cylinder #1 - Incorrect fuel pressure - The injector circuit is open or shorted at cylinder #1 - Fuel injector #1 may be faulty - Intake air leak at cylinder
Possible Solutions: - Perform Injector Service - Replaced Spark Plug #1 - Replaced Injector #1 - Replaced Ignition Coil #1
