Horn sticking and sounding on 2005 ford f150

The button or wire is shorted in the column. Horn relays turn on with a ground signal from the button, so the wire only has to come loose or the wire get chaffed to cause the horn to blow.

1995 buick lesabre horn goes off randomly and have to hit the steering wheel for it to stop

the contact in the steering wheel is shorting out, all you can do is replace it,, however,, any time your messing with the steering wheel or anything associated with it, you must use extreme care,, prior to doing anything, disconnect the Neg battery terminal,, then the positive one, and wait 10 minutes, this will allow the air bag system time to discharge, the last thing you need is the air bag going off, once this has been done, behind the wheel, there will be recessed screws that hold on the face of the steering wheel cover,, remove those, and pull off the cover gently,, your going to have a single wire, ( there are others, But your concerned with the single one, that's for the horn) make sure that is secure . if it seems that wire hasn't worked loose then your problem is going to be in the contacts on the horn buttons, some of these are actually molded into the cover and can't be replaced,, which would mean you have to replace the cover itself,,

My horn turns on anytime during the day or night. What could be wrong? I have to tap or hit the middle of the steering wheel hard several times in order for it to stop.

You have a slight short or wires exposed or getting pinched. I would start by taking off the plastic cover located around your steering consol where your window wiper and turn signal stick is. The short is prob. under there look for exposed or pinched wire and put electrical around it. Good Luck!

Horn button wouldn't work but horn works when using remote

You need to pull your steering wheel and get access to the small plastic tube with tabs on it. they sometimes come loose from the holder in the steering wheel fram. It's held in place by one tiny pin that you push in and turn one quarter turn to the right. If you find that his pin has broken off, a drop of superglue and a pair of needle nose pliers will do the permanent fix. Have a couple beers first because you only have a matter of seconds to get this spring and tube back in place. Can't have any shaking going on. Good luck, Dana

2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee horn switch malfunction in the airbag unit - can it be fixed?

Although this does not explicitly cover the horn, it will give some kind information about the innards of the steering wheel:

Horn

since heat caused the problem, i used cold for the fix.....there are several types of canned "FREEZE" that are used for electronic testing...i sprayed the steering wheel--twice. i think it released the weight of the steering wheel cover on the horn contacts...that or my prayers were answered......whatever the fix----currently AIN'T BROKE.....
