If it is the result of blown head gaskets, you will need to remove the intake manifold, since you will need to remove it any way to replace the head gaskets, while you have the intake off just pour the water out. then you may want to blow the moisture out with compressed air hope this helps
I suggest check in the Passenger Compartment position 34 with 15AMP for Heated Seats, Backup Lamps, Speed Control, Daytime Running Lamps, A/C Cycling Switch, Digital Transmission Range Sensor, Intake Manifold Runner Control Module.
The problem is that you are going to have a hard time finding the replacement part since Ford is not manufacturing the manifold runner control anymore.
I found mine through the Lincoln Mark VIII forum and you might want to join it since they are a wealth of knowledge.
Intake Runner Manifold Controller is not opening the secondary runners for the intake-this is a common issue on Marks, check to see if you can manually open the plates by hand, if not, it is usually because they get very gunked/coked up over time. The car falling flat on it's face around 3000-3200 RPM is a symptom of IMRC problems.
you pretty much have to rebuild the mortor since its a v-tec motor. All accessories, and much more. i have done it myself and you have to be a very skilled mechanic. 15 dollar gasket, 2,000 in labor
