You will need a scan tool to diagnose your airbag problem (and not the one at Auto Zone---dealer or body shop only). Once you have the code, check out this website. It's a site that will explain everything you need to know about airbag systems, airbag lights and resetting the system. Check the voltage on higher rpm, if it goes ove 14V then theelectrical part on alternator is bad(diod or regler).

The ESP light has come on due to a fault with the abs/ traction system . It will req fault code reading by a diagnostic tester to determine the fault more than likely a abs wheel speed sensor.

I would suspect a faulty brake switch which is activated by the pedal, inspect to see if it has dislodged from its correct position, in the mean time, instead of toying with the battery, you can simply unplug the switch or remove the fuse untill it is fixed. Good luck

Funny that they changed the temp guage sensor....known problem on pre-2001 Audi TT and VW engines. Maybe yours was an early build 2002, so they helped you avoid a future problem.
As for the air flow, another known problem is the MAF (mass airflow) sensor. Don't panic, as this is a do it yourself job. Very likely problem if you ever installed a K&N type aftermarket air filter. These oiled filters cause buildup on the sensor. Free fix is to take the sensor body off (its the big ring/pipe coming off the air filter box before the rubber air intake hose) and clean the senor with isopropyl alcohol. Sensor body comes off by loosening the hose clamp on one end, and two screws into the filter box on the other. Don't forget to release the wiring harness plug by gently releasing the tab with a flat head screwdriver.
If your not comfortable with the cleaning, just find the MAF part on-line...about $200 bucks for a new one from Bosch. Very easy to do it yourself and a common failure point on the Audi.
For those still having the coolant sensor problem, also easy to replace yourself....about $10 bucks with a new o-ring.
Like GURU said, a code reader tool will tell if you have these problems, after the engine light comes on.

i have seen air pump hoses disconnected several times , also pull codes from memory , that will put you in the right direction

Hazard warning light switch fault.
The hazard light warning button in the middle of your dash is actually a relay that often fails, causing this problem. New switch required.

Really need the codes when the light comes on. Stop by advanced auto parts and have them read it, or buy a $50 tool. Will save you hundreds with an Audi.
Most likely is MAF sensor. Not as scary as sounds, and you may be able to fix it your self if you can twist a screwdriver.
Are you getting any coolant warnings?
