check if the air intake is clear , no cracks/split etc in the pipe work , air filter is clean,if look ok then i'd get the stepper motor checked out as a first step
Check the fuse for the fuel pump, if blown replace it. If it is good. turn the key on and put your ear to the gas tank, you should hear a humming from the fuel pump, if it is not making any sound then the pump is probably bad. If it is pumping then your fuel filter must be plugged.
turn left, sputter, sputter, pop! sputter, sputter..............vvveeerrrooommm !? WTF? Crazy 91 Honda CRX just became a death car tryin to get through an intersection. Checked all my wires and ended up in the gas tank tryin to put the fuel pump back together. POS pump is in the left side of the tank!? So if you got a few miles on it the fuel pump screen can fall off. Turn left and the last 1/8th of a tank goes to the right leaving a 3/4 ton chevy in your girlfrends lap...well almost. I still got the CRX, the girl got droped off at the car wash cuz she smelled like poo.
try blowing out all the fule lines and changing the fule filters the lines may be blocked up also check the fule tank vent if this is blocked the pump cant **** fule from it
Try pounding on the gas tank with a rubber mallet or similar tool. (careful not to dent the tank) Try starting it. If it runs, replace the fuel pump (it's nfg). I've diagnosed numerous fuel pumps this way. Remember the pump needs to be replaced, if you drive it, you don't know when it'll fail for good. Hope this helps. Please post the results.
Hi. In 1995 Honda began to build their cars with a permanent filter that is part of the fuel sender/pump located in the tank. One less thing to have to worry about.
