How do you know when strut is bad on 1999 Lincoln navigator

People will tell you to bounce on them. That's a valid test for shocks but not struts. See this post on how to test struts with a driving test.

What size coil springs for 2001 lincoln navigator rear supension

That is not a question you ask on the internet,
& no one has any diagrams, unless they own the
same vehicle & have purchased factory manuals

You ask a dealer by giving the parts dept your
VIN #

If your converting from air to conventional suspension,
then you ask the parts suppliers that sell the new parts
your going to use to replace the air shocks/struts

We had a new battery put in our 1999 lincoln navigatior and the rear air suspence went down and we can not get it to to fill back up

Replace the entire Air Suspension with
conventional shock/struts such as Strutmasters
or other brands

You do not even diagnose a Navigators Air
Suspension after the vehicle is 5 years old
Dealers can't figure it out

Next time you get the Ford version.
Still issues but nowhere near anything
that is installed on a Navigator

A Navigator is like an Oldsmobile from
the 1970's & 1980's A test bed of poor choices,
bad engineering & ideas

I have a 2005 lincoln navigator that we just replaced the front air rie suspesion on we put it all back together and the air bags on the front and back are not filling with air what could it be

Those Navigators always have probs with the air suspension, i have seen one blow all on its own sitting in a parking lot, c if hopefully there is a recall or u could get rid of them and get regular shocks and struts which i recommend, not as great as a ride but u wont have to always worry about them.

2004 Lincoln nave, rear wheels jacked up high, front wheels normal, rides real rough??? any thoughts???? Thanks,

Replace the air suspension with conventional shock/strut
conversions. The Air Ride System is not worth investing
time and money ,after the vehicle is 5 years old.
Too expensive to maintain ,and too difficult to diagnose

Next time buy the Ford version of the vehicle
