2000 Frontier w/ 190,000 miles. Vibration Problem

I have a vibration at 35 mph anf 65 mph. I have chased this vibration for 50,000 miles. I have installed three sets of tires, had the tires road forced balanced several times. I changed all front wheel bearings. I changed driveshaft including carrier bearing. I installed new lower ball joints both sides. I notice others are having the same problem. This IS NOT a tire issue. I have ordered and will change the differential carrier or HOG HEAD assy. While I have it out I will change the rear wheel bearings on the rear axles. I will repost with the out come. The shops and the dealer will tell you the tires are bad. You have to fight it yourself. It be easier to buy another truck but I have to find the problem on this truck.

Rear end howls and vibrates, most noticeable at 50-65 mph. Noise only depends upon vehicle speed, does not change with gear or if in neutral.

Sounds liike a ring and pinion on rear differential. U can pull the cover off and check this or another thing would be to check your u-joints.

Fix for cadillac deville 2000-2003 vibration between 65-70 mph

Have your Mechanic check the steering tie rod bushings, and linkage. Sometimes it's just an adjustment to the steering box play(located at the end of the steering wheel shaft), - easy to fix.

Driving between 35-50 mile ph truck will start vibrating

There are many stages of vibration. The most common is in the steering and USUALLY a steering dampner will correct this. However, your description is not real defined and until the technician actually experiences it, it cannot be properly diagnosed

I have a 03 Sorento, is the center bearing on the drive shaft a slip on fit or a press on fit. Pretty sure mine needs changing.

Interference fit- meaning it can be worked off with a little help of a hammer andpunch, It can also be a slip fit so try before you pry. Good Luck _Ned_

Mazda b2200, 1989 109000 miles. Vibration, seems to be in the front end, when moving between 30-40 mph, 3rd or 4th gear. Vibration still exists when not in gear, manual transmition. Tires are new and...

I have the same thing but mine is between 45-50 mph. I read about this a while back in a magazine for people that pull campers, the problem exists in all vehicles although its not as noticeable in every thing you ride in. There is a certain "point" at which your speed and engine speed reach, that causes a phenomonon that causes a vibration. Engineers relate it to "harmonics" which is a similar issue but in the electronic field of study. There is nothing you can do for it, and it varies from unnoticeable in some vehicles to driving you insane in my 1989 Mazda B2200. I had an '89 Ford F-150 that did it at 35 mph and a 2001 Dodge Diesel that did it at 45 mph, but those were the only three vehicles I've ever driven and noticed it.
