Philip, I believe there is a TSB for this problem. Needs a software update from dealer.

Something that I do not enjoy is having the air conditioner blowing warm air on me on a hot day. That is something that I am sure you don't enjoy either so it would be good to have it fixed. If I were you I would take it to an auto service to get it repaired. http://balyangmotors.com.au/services/

Philip, You may have to have a good tech, check, diagnose and estimate repair. Could be a few things causing poor AC, recheck your charge level, check your fan at the condenser, make sure the condenser isn't obstructed, compressor clutch could be faulty, system could be plugged with contaminates limiting refrigerant flow. You say the system has been recharged, was it done properly, if not system could be plugged. AC system should of had system checked for leaks, evacuated, flushed, new orifice tube, then recharged with proper quantities of oil and refrigerant. Check the attached links, instruction and guides, Good luck

Air conditioner is blowing slightly warm air and not cooling when it is turned on

If after a few minutes it is still warm to hot air, try recharging the cooling system. Parts stores sell kits with instructions on how to do this.

Air conditioner stopped blowing cool air. Added freon. Worked well for a few days. Now only blows cool air on passenger side.

Chances are you have a pretty fast freon leak, and the passenger side will be blowing warm within a few days. I have the same thing happen on a couple of my GM cars, except my leak is very slow; warm driver's side, cold passenger side.

You can try and top off the freon again, but I suspect you're going to have to take it to a shop to find the leak and get it fixed. Plan on spending some big dollars for the repair.

Good Luck.

Air conditioner blows cool air then some warm air

It may just need recharged, go to a local repair shop and have the a/c system tested for leaks and recharged.

If you wanna do it yourself and save $$$$ go to a local parts store and get the recharge in a can... make sure it has leak sealer in it for good measure and follow instructions on can for installation. This will cost you $25 bucks and will save you from shop costs.

Winndscreen does not clear unless have air conditioner on

Blowing air across the windscreen does not necessarily clear away condensate from the inside. Water vapor condenses on any cool surface, and humid air blowing across a cool windscreen will result in more condensate on the windscreen. Often the air that blows across the windscreen is just humid AND heated, and doesn't solve the problem.
The air conditioner system performs two functions. Not only does it cool the air, it also extracts moisture, resulting in dryer air. Once the dried air is re-heated in the defroster system, it should allow the moisture on the windscreen to evaporate.
In other words, it sounds as though the defroster system is functioning properly.

Air conditioner blows cool air but it does not blow cold air.

Start by recharging your system. If you want to do it yourself. Most auto parts stores and hardware stores have recharge kits. Purchase a kit with a gauge to prevent overfilling.

2002 Jeep Liberty

I have a 2002 Jeep Liberty and after driving for about 30 minutes the air conditioner would start to blow hot air. The air conditioner clutch was sticking. I could hit the clutch and it would kick in and start to work. I went to Advance Auto and purchased a big spray can of electric motor cleaner and a big spray can of WD-40. I soaked the clutch with the electric motor cleaner, used the whole can, then soaked it with half a can of WD-40. The clutch has worked perfecty ever since.
