Question about Cars & Trucks
Door Lock and Unlock Operation
When a door lock switch is activated in the lock or unlock position the BCM will receive a voltage signal on either the door lock switch lock or unlock signal circuits.
The BCM, upon receipt of a lock switch lock or unlock signal, will switch the appropriate lock relay control circuit(s) to battery positive voltage. This will energize the appropriate lock or unlock relay(s). The relay will supply voltage to the door lock actuator lock or unlock control circuits to one side of the lock actuator. Since the opposing side of the lock actuators are connected to ground through the other lock actuator control circuit and the normally closed contacts of the lock or unlock relay, the doors and liftgate will then lock or unlock appropriately.
Three relays are used to operate the lock. Driver door unlock, passenger door unlock and all door lock. This is done to isolate the driver door lock actuator so it can be unlocked by itself using the keyless entry transmitter.
Your door locks are controlled by the BCM - body control module (a computer ) . An a scan tool is a must to diagnose system operation . Your best bet would be to take your vehicle to a qualified repair shop . The only way you could try to fix this is by changing parts ! Suppose you find an replace a door lock/ unlock relay an that doesn't fix it ? There could be DTC'S stored in the BCM . Do you know what a DTC is ?

J. , Possible wiring/plug issue, you may have to find a good Tech. to diagnose and estimate repair. Posted the fuse boxes for you vehicle, did not see any pwr lock relay, contact the dealer, the power door lock relay may be built into the BCM (body control module). Check the attached links, instruction and guides, Good luck

What you should have done a long time ago is buy the Chilton's or Haynes' manual for your vehicle - if you had, chances are you wouldn't be asking this question on here. And if you had checked your fuses, especially for your doors and windows - power windows and locks is my clue about the fuses - you wouldn't be on here either. Odds are extremely high that the regulators for BOTH the power windows and locks AND for several of them, would go out all at once. So go to the auto parts store, get the repair manual - (about $20) - and check it for the size of fuses you need -old style or new style, depends on ago of vehicle, and go to the register and buy and then go home and flip through it. And you want to get a code reader at some point in time too. Both the manual and the code reader will help you be better informed AND will help answer questions.

Flgators1885 - There is a bundle of wires running through the door harness into the chassis. This group of wires controls all of the drivers door functions. If there is a short due to frayed insulation in one or more wires and or moisture has penetrated the harness or the switch, a dead short could occur, which sounds like your problem as it is unlikely all of the individual switches would fail at the same time. Do a visual inspection for damage to the harness and moisture penetration/ check all fuses /check for power at the switch as it sounds like it has gotten wet. Before taking the door panel off try blowing compressed air over the switch opening in an attempt to remove any moisture present. If could be something as simple as a loose switch connector but the door panel will have to be removed to troubleshoot further.

If your alarm went off, it could be that someone had tried to break into your car. They most likely may have cut some of the wires inside your door with what ever device they may have been using. Look for evidence between the bottom of the windows and doors where the problem is. If not, then it is possible that your automatic window assemblies are malfunctioning. Do you hear the motors run on the windows when you go up or down with the switch? I also have a Pacifica, 2005, however no window problems yet.
