WE REMOVED THE RELAY COVER, FOR THE FUEL PUMP AND PUSHED DOWN ON THE CONTACTS.AND THE FUEL PUMP RUNS.THE ENGINE CRANKS OVER BUT WE HAVE NO SPARK AND FUEL PUMP NOISE RUNNING.SEEM LIKE IT IS MISSING A SNIGLE TO THE COMPUTER TO TURN THEM ON.

Is there power electrically going back to the fuel pump . Is the battery charged and has good power and ground. Is the engine turning over ? A possible solution is the ignition switch is not sending signal to the computer to activate the system.

4.3 and 2.8 motors have a ceramic module in the distributor. if you have alot of miles on the truck, and there is no spark, that module is usually the culprit. easy to replace with a nut driver and some dielectric grease. mod is located in the distributor when you take the cap off look straight dowm and its right there.
also check eec relay and fuse. that will also cause the prob.

Why does my 2006 chevy 1500 series 5.3 liter truck crank but wont run

Hi Tom:
Chevys want to run!
What happened just before it quit running?
You'll need spark and fuel. The right amount of fuel, and the spark at the right time helps.
If you give us a bit more info chances are we'll be able to help.
