Remove outside mirror on 2012 chevy traverse

You need a special puller for the inside door panel. Have to go to an autoparts store for it. Then you take out all the screws on the door panel. The you use the puller on the bottom and sometimes the sides to LOCATE and REMOVE the fasteners..Lift the panel up and away from the door. Careful about any wires that might be connected to switches. Unplug those if present. You will now be looking at a sheet of sound deadening material that has a tar like substance on it. You cannot really save this and it is messy. remove it and then you can see the internal door and window parts. Be careful because the parts are sharp. Long sleeves and gloves are recommended. See if you can reach in under the window and feel for the bolts. If you cannot then the window has to be removed. Locate and remove the glass retainer and remove the window. Then remove any bolts holding the window mechanical parts. Then you should be able to get to the bolts for the mirror.

Tried it today and none of the windows work from master switch on drivers side except ft passenger window, which went down but will not go back up.

You can't put up the front passenger window with it's own switch ? Did you check the POWER WINDOW RELAY in the instrument panel fuse / relay box ? An you checked POWER fuse 30amp same fuse box ? All window switches have direct power from power window relay !

How do I remove the inside door panel of a 2001 AU11 Ford Fairmont to get at the manual door cable?

Standard Trim Disconnect the remote rod-to-lock knob assembly prior to lifting off the housing plate, to avoid possible damage to the lock knob assembly.
  1. Remove the inside door handles by unfastening the retaining screws.
  2. Remove the armrest. Tag and disconnect all electrical connectors.
  3. Remove the mirror remote control bezel nut and bezel.
Before you proceed to the next step, carefully inspect the door panel to make sure that all the retaining screws have been removed.
  1. Using a wooden spatula or panel puller (available at most automotive parts stores), pry around the trim panel putting pressure at the door trim clips. NEVER PRY BETWEEN THE CLIPS.
  2. Installation is the reverse of removal. When installing the trim panel, align the clips in the panel with the holes in the door, then apply pressure on the panel over the clip until the clip snaps into place.

Drivers side door wont open from inside, window problems

It is most likely a rod has fallen off inside the door. You may have to use a coat-hanger to read down inside and pull back on door latch to open it up.
Then after it is opened, remove screws on inner door panel, remove window/lock controls, take a big flat-head screwdriver and gently pry next to the plastic tabs holding on door panel. Remove door panel and put window back on track , and replace or reattach door handle rods.

Driver power window problem

On my 2000 Durango, I found that the plastic cable guides had broken and fallen to the bottom of the door. This allowed the cable to lose tension which basically disconnected the window from the regulator. If you can hear the regulator motor run (power windows) when you press the window switch, then the regulator is good. Remove the door trim panel screws, pull off the door lock handle, pull the trim panel away slightly, and disconnect the plastic retainer from the door latch linkage. Then unlock the wiring connectors and remove them. Now the trim panel can be removed. Peel the plastic seal from the inner door. Now you can see inside the door and figure out what happened. A mechanic's mirror will help. Replacement window regulators are available from a number of sources; the cable and/or guides are a dealer item.
