Why asd fuse keeps blown

You have a Chrysler , dodge , or Plymouth ? ASD Fuse supplies power to ASD relay ,if you have a Dodge , Chrysler or Plymouth vehicle . You have a short to ground , videos on you tube , how to find a electrical short ! ASD - auto shut down , this powers Ignition system , fuel injectors , O2 sensors . A short in any one of these systems will blow the fuse . O2 sensor wires get melted on exhaust pipes an manifolds ! That is if you have one of these make vehicles !

I have a 1993 Celica that ran fine, cut it off and when I tried to start it again it would crank but wouldnt start?

Your ignition module or wires to it are fried. If you keep putting fuses in, you will melt the wiring. Remove the module and using the guidelines of the manufacturer test it. If it is bad, or it is old and you haven't changed it in a while, go ahead and replace it. Before you do, when you remove it turn the key on and see if the fuse still blows. If it does, it is the wiring or something else. My bet is the module.

Why does my efi fuse keeps popping 1999 chevy prizm

Pull the EFI relay, replace the fuse, and see if it blows when you turn the key on. If it does not turn the key off, reinstall the EFI relay and remove the circuit opening relay/fuel pump relay. Turn the key on. If the fuse blows than we know the problem is One of the O2 sensors, the IAC, the purge solenoid, or the ECM You can unplug the O2 sensors, iac, and purge solenoid. Replace the fuse, turn the key on, and plug them in one at a time until the fuse blows. Replace that component. If the fuse blows with those unplugged than its probaly the wiring and possibly the ECM. let me know what you find and I'll help you more if needed.

Fuel injector fuse is blown, keeps blowing. Engine turns but won't catch and start.

if the injector fuse is blown then the car won`t start as its not getting fuel into the motor to fire.if the fuse keeps blowing then you could have an injector/s that is drawing too much or the injector driver in the ecm may not be any good and needs replacing or a used ecm.it could be a short some where in the wiring for the injector system that is going to ground.

Hi! Yes it would keep it from starting so I strongly suggest that you have it looked by your trusted mechanic for this will require on hand trouble shooting for grounded wires. HOpe this helps and thank you for using FixYa!
