Out of range means the reading is not what it should be in the computers lookup files.

Check wiring again if it was running normal before ya changed battery

you can tell by bypassing the solenoid with a jumper wire, just touch it from one terminal to the other and if starter jumps you know it is good but only jump for a second do not connect only touch.

John deer is a seek and find mission. A good electrician could possibly find and fix it. But the would be breaking the law. Some how, John Deer got federal laws passed, That no one can work on the computer systems in their tractors. Unless you are a dealer.. You might try looking up code 16 for John deer.

It's sounds like the fan switch is shot, change the switch and shouldn't have a drama, I have changed a few of these, hope this helps

check wires and connectors under the car as a wire may have been broken from the accident.

battery cracked, acid leaked out... end of life.
cables to same broken or loose.
a/T gear shift, not in park, and foot brake set, wiggle both.

one can hot wire a starter to test that. its not hard. just a jumper wire.
if hot wire cranks, then the A/T shifter path is broken.

The lock you can move with your finger is part of the manual lock. You may have broke or disconnected the electronic part of the lock when you hit the deer. The only way to tell is to take the door panel off and check the wire and plug to make sure it is plugged in. Also you need to test it for power from the wire. I know if the latch motor is bad it is not to expensive ( used or new from a part store).
