My fuse for the radio keeps blowing out on my 2005 Corolla

USA spec. car?
2007 Nissan Altima 2.5 answering only for 15amp fuses !!!!!
fuse blows. fuse name not told nor its location told at all
sad face sigh.
2.5L calif car or fed car not told and are DIFFERENT as is Export.

fuse f42 and F43 is 15amp, and runs cpu in IPDM
fuse f32 is fuel pump see how tell fuse ID tells what is shorted?
all above are IPDM fuse box fuses, under hood
f43 is throttle control valve too. twb motor drive.
f42 runs ECM/PCM and lots of things.



F53 is fog lamps.
my wild guess F42 blows. and runs ecm relay to here.

to find the short one must disconnect all loads to fuse the blows

to find which device is shorted.
use only 15amp fuses, not larger ever. here.

fuses blow because of dead shorts or excess current draw
to blow a 15 amp fuse indicates a dead short
by disconnecting the rear lights , the problem is in something else you have replaced
could be a problem in the head light wiring

i should be either in engine bay or side compartment in dash board

should be 10 or may be 15amp fuse

Lighter fuse for corolla is on the interior fuse panel on LHS of dash. It is labeled CIG. And is a 15amp fuse, this is common for them to blow when people plug in charging devices or sat. Radios into them, try using the power point socket in centre arm rest.

There is either a short circuit (Positive wire shorted to ground) in the harness wiring, or fuse is under rated power.

The radio may have a short blowing the fuse. The power steering ECU could also be the culprit since it's electronic on a Toyota.

fuse box is located left of steering column behind storage compartment. fuse #17 15amp is the liter fuse.

Have an auto electrician look at it.

I had the same problem just last week. It turned out to be the idle regulator. Every time the IR got hot it would blow the fuse. You can drive the car without it attached but get it fixed asap. Got one for $40 from a spare parts place ($200 brand new) and my mechanic mate changed it for me (looked easy enough to do it yourself). Good luck.

There are several fuses to check. 2 fuses to rear control unit are in the battery junction box(underhood fuse panel) are no. 27(5amp),no. 17(20 amp). In the interior fuse panel 3 fuses to the intergrated control unit are fuse no. 32(10amp),no. 33(15amp), and no. 22 (15amp).
