Some of my guages work & some dont(the thing that keeps track of miles gone & the guage that keeps total miles, also background lights) on the dashboard, is it electrical or a fuse prob ??

several things could cause this, a connector on back of panel came loose, shorted wire rubbed through insulation. start with looking at gauge cluster panel.

Odometer light not working

light bulbs for the backlighting of the guage cluster are usually on the same wire, so if there is only one of them out, it should just be that bulb is burnt out. you'll have to remove the trim panel around the guage cluster and the remove the guage cluster. there will be a bunch of bulbs on the back side of it, but approximate the location of it and visually inspect them until you find the one that is burnt out. replace it and reassemble

1999 malibu guage cluster not working after a spark from jumping car. Replaced ignition key assembly, replaced guage cluster, checked all fuses.....still nothing. lights work, but the guages are frozen.

Unhook the battery hold the wires together for about 3 min, this should reset the cpu that runs the car. If that doesn't work check for a blown ground somewhere. Or you could have fried the guages, possible, but not likely. Don't forget to vote.

Instument Guages

well the issue is youe enitre gauge cluster i do understand that your speedometer is working but it is a cable speedometer not electronic like everything else in the gauge cluster so first i would recomend checking the voltage getting to your gauge cluster then just replace the guagecluster they are really cheap i a salvage and not hard to install at all but the cluster itself is not very comon to go out so make sure you check voltage to it first i wouldnt want you to go through buying and replaceing the cluster and that not fix it

My guage cluster does not work on a 1994 dodge intrepid and we have replaced all fuses and relays and the guage cluster.

does the cluster light up when your headlights are switched on? if not then iinput cable behind the cluster may have come loose you will have to take the dash apart to get the instrument panel off and get to the input wire.   If it does light up then you may have a loose connection and or a PCM problem which is the cars computer have your obd II codes checked at autozone.
