First off, try a real store bought, CDDA, disk
not mp3, or other burnt disks.
old cars only play CCDA, and not much else.
try to be more clear
that are vast numbers of round disks.
CDDA.
CDR burnt to CDDA format
CDR bunt to MP3 or like 10 other formats all hopeless.
DVDR burnt to MP3, ditto....
see?
the owner guide, also tells you what it plays be that OEM original or aftermarket upgrades.
why not post a photo of the head end,
if still original it has a 3 letter jeep code there. on the face.

SOURCE: 2004 Jeep Liberty CD Problem

Sometimes if you shut off the vehicle, then continually press the eject button, while you start it, and continue to press the button, until the radio is on for a minute, it'll work. Other than that, Sorry. Best wishes to you.

Subaru Liberty. It won't read CDs the Radio works but when try playing a CD it say 'Error 6'.

Try using a CD Lens Cleaner disc on it, but the link suggests it is a disc transport issue. That would need a Clarion Service Centre. Clarion make it branded as Macintosh.

2008 Jeep Liberty

Possible solution - This happened to me and my battery was dead in my key fob and also I needed an ignition switch because a piece on it was broken which therefore wouldn't turn to start the engine.

2003 Jeep Liberty - no radio sound after replacing the battery

Check all fuses inside and outside of the jeep and also try to disconnect the battery for 3-30 minutes and then hook it back up,and make sure if you have an alarm that its turned off.then try and see if it works then.Remember and try not to arc the battery terminal when you put it back together.

2004 jeep liberty electrical problems maybe

you have a short somewhere in the cigarette lighter. Most likely the socket itself, but possibly behind the dash somewhere. The radios in the Jeeps ****, and most likely just a bad radio. The door lock either has a bad actuator, or bad wiring in the door jamb. Remove the panel and see if you are getting power to the actuator. If so, you need it, if not check the wiring.

My cd player keeps giving me an error and won't

Either the player's timing got jumped, the disc motor or tray motor have worn out, or there is a faulty diode or capacitor.
This is actually quite common in many disc players. It will have to be replaced or repaired by tech.

THE ONLY THING YOU CAN DO is to either blow inside and clear off any dust on laser lens, or dismantle and clean lens with rubbing alcohol and cotton swab.

Or get a can of air duster and blow out the player.
