Sadly you are correct. To access this tiny component requires complete disassembly of the instrument panel. There are several Jaguar car clubs who can help you with the procedure, eg the Jaguar Enthusiasts Club (http://www.jec.org.uk/)

You will have to climb under car it's usually by crossmember or firewall there should be a small hose hanging down

Testimonial: "Not on an XKR Jaguar, I've removed the exhaust and dropped the transmission and no access. All evidence to date suggests I have to remove the instrument panel and I'm hoping for an alternative."

My air conditioner quit blowing cool air. My 2006 Nissan Sentra is leaking coolant out of a skinny black hose near the front left of the engine by the air conditioner line. how can I stop up the hole?

Good idea is to drain the coolant from your radiator, then replace the hose that is leaking and then fill with coolant to the proper level. Drive your car and have heater running to remove any air in the system.

1997 kia sephia has water leaking on front passenger carpet when the air conditioner is running

Your drain may be clogged. The drain comes out of the firewall. You could try using something flexible to snake the drain or bring it to a shop and have them look at it. I personally use compressed air to blow the obstruction free.

Air-conditioning leaking inside car

  1. Air conditioner evaporator drain hose is blocked. Clear the drain hose where it exits the passenger compartment.
  2. Air conditioner evaporator drain hose is disconnected. Secure the drain hose to the evaporator drainage tray under the dashboard.

Where do I find the air conditioner drain tube

The air conditioner condensation drain is under the hood not inside the car. The fluid is probably a leaking heater coil. It is located on the passenger side firewall.

Water collection in the air conditioner. Drain is

You need to clean the drain out as your first step. This is accessed by raising the vehicle on a lift then using something like a coat hanger pressed into the drain hole at the base of the firewall next to the transmission bellhousing on the passenger half of the vehicle.

Floors in the front are wet and the car is starting to smell

Three possibilities--the windshield is leaking water, the heater core is leaking antifreeze (should smell like antifreeze), or the air conditioner evaporator (near the heater core) has a plugged drain tube and the water condensed out of the warm air is running back into the cab. Hope this helps!

1990 Pontiac Grand Am 2.5 L engine. Leaking Coolant from fire wall below blower unit from a rubber elbow below a Air conditioner line. Coolant tank had hard crystalized coolant in it. Washed out...

That drain line is for the box that holds the air conditioner evaporator and the heater coil. It seems that your heater coil has sprung a leak and the leaked fluid is coming out the drain. You have to replace the heater coil, which on most cars involves removing a lot of the interior equipment, including the dash board on many cars. A job best left for the repair shop unless you're very adventurous and patient. Even then you will have to take it to a shop to have the air conditioning system recharged.

Water in floor on passenger side

The issue is condensation from your air conditioner not properly draining. This is usually caused by a damaged, or clogged drain hose. The condensation is supposed to drain outside the vehicle by way of a hose on the firewall area.
