There are several solenoid valves on that transmission. But generally you remove the oil pan, drain the fluid, remove the valve body and then swap out the solenoids. Not usually a DIY project.

2008 Chevy Tahoe 5.3 liter the codes are p1133 hose to p0449

DTC P0449: Evaporative Emission (EVAP) Vent Solenoid Control Circuit

Circuit/System Description
An ignition voltage is supplied directly to the evaporative emission (EVAP) canister purge solenoid valve. The engine control module (ECM) grounds the EVAP canister purge solenoid valve control circuit through an internal switch called a driver. The ECM monitors the status of the driver. The EVAP canister purge solenoid valve is pulse width modulated (PWM). A scan tool will display the amount of ON time as a percentage.
Battery voltage is supplied to the EVAP canister solenoid valve. The ECM grounds the EVAP canister vent solenoid valve control circuit through an internal switch called a driver. The ECM monitors the status of the driver. A scan tool will display the commanded state of the EVAP canister vent solenoid valve as ON or OFF.

P0449
Ignition ON, engine OFF, command the EVAP vent solenoid ON and OFF with a scan tool.
Listen for a click when the valve operates. Verify that both the ON, and the OFF states are commanded.
Operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC. You may also operate the vehicle within the conditions that you observed from the Freeze Frame/Failure Records data.

Circuit/System Testing
Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the EVAP canister purge or vent solenoid valve.
Ignition ON, verify that a test lamp illuminates between the voltage supply circuit terminal A and ground.
? If the test lamp does not illuminate, test the voltage supply circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal and the voltage supply circuit fuse is open, test or replace the EVAP canister purge solenoid.
Connect a test lamp between the voltage supply circuit terminal A and the control circuit terminal B.
Command the EVAP canister purge solenoid valve to 50 percent with a scan tool, or the EVAP canister vent solenoid valve ON and OFF. The test lamp should respond to the command.
? If the test lamp is always ON, test the control circuit for a short to ground. If the circuit tests normal, replace the ECM.
? If the test lamp is always OFF, test the control circuit for a short to voltage or an open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal, replace the ECM.
If all circuits test normal, replace the appropriate solenoid valve.

This is how to test electrical circuit for the vent solenoid .

How can I replace transmission control solenoid?

Control solenoid ? explain . Shift solenoid , pressure control solenoid ?
The shift solenoid valves are two identical, normally open, electronic exhaust valves that control upshifts and downshifts in all forward gear ranges. These shift solenoid valves work together in a combination of ON and OFF sequences in order to control the positions of the 1-2, 2-3 and 3-4 shift valve trains. The PCM monitors numerous inputs in order to determine the appropriate solenoid state combination and the transmission gear for the vehicle operating conditions
The pressure control (PC) solenoid valve is a precision electronic pressure regulator that controls transmission line pressure based on current flow through its coil windings. As current flow is increased, the magnetic field which is produced by the coil moves the solenoid's plunger further away from the exhaust port. Opening the exhaust port decreases the output fluid pressure, which is regulated by the PC solenoid valve. This ultimately decreases line pressure. The PCM controls the PC solenoid valve based upon various inputs including throttle position, fluid temperature, MAP sensor, and gear state.

Po401 ive cleaned the egr & replaced the egr but i keep getting this code??

depending on your model, there may be a solenoid valve that turns the vacuum to the egr valve on. If the solenoid fails, the egr valve will not open. Follow the vacuum line on the egr valve--does it go to a solenoid valve? If yes, apply 12 volts directly to the solenoid blades to see if it clicks open. If it doesn't click, replace the solenoid.

P0977

Shift Solenoid B Control Circuit High

Areas to check:
  • Short in shift solenoid valve No. 2 circuit
  • Shift solenoid valve No. 2
  • ECM

  • Check the shift solenoid valve No. 2 when DTC P0976 and P0977 is output.
  • Check harness and connector between ECM and shift solenoid valve No. 1 or No. 2.
To check the Shift Solenoid Valve No. 2:
  1. Jack up the vehicle.
  2. Remove the oil pan.
  3. Remove the shift solenoid valve No. 1 or No. 2.
CHECK:
  1. Measure the resistance between the solenoid connector terminal and the body ground. Standard: 11 - 15 W at 20°C (68°F)
  2. Connect the battery positive lead to the solenoid connector terminal and the battery negative lead to the solenoid body ground. Standard: Solenoid operation noise is produced. If not, Replace solenoid valve. If the Solenoid operation noise is produced, Check and replace the ECM.

I have a 2003 a4/b6 1.8 turbo and the engine light is on. The DTC codes says random misfire, misfire on cylinder #2 and #3 also, Oxygen (Lambda) Sensor Regulation: Bank 1: System too Lean : P1111. Any...

If you can supply me with all the codes your vehicle is showing, I can assist you. As far as the P1111 DTC goes I have listed the info below with some possible solutions.

P1111- Intake Valve Timing Control Solenoid Valve Circuit Bank 1

Intake valve timing control solenoid valve is activated by ON/OFF pulse duty (ratio) signals from the ECM. The intake valve timing control solenoid valve changes the oil amount and direction of flow through intake valve timing control unit or stops oil flow. The longer pulse width advances valve angle. The shorter pulse width retards valve angle. When ON and OFF pulse widths become equal, the solenoid valve stops oil pressure flow to fix the intake valve angle at the control position. The code is triggered when an improper voltage is sent to the ECM through intake valve timing control solenoid valve. Since the Intake valve timing control solenoid valve uses oil flow to control timing, dirty oil can cause the valve to stuck open or close. Before replacing the valve, change engine oil and filter and reset engine code.

Possible Causes:
- Intake valve timing control solenoid valve bank 1 circuit is open or shorted.
- Intake valve timing control solenoid valve bank 1 circuit connectors
- Intake valve timing control solenoid valve bank 1
- Dirty Oil

Possible Solutions:
- Change Oil
- Replace Intake valve timing control solenoid valve
